Chapter 9

LUCY'S POV

After I dragged stark back to the base I went into the weapons room to grab my gear.When in reality all I needed was my hands and brain.

But nobody else needed to know that.

I slipped a gun into my hips holster and put two more guns down on my calfs.
I had already put on my skin tight catsuit.

Making my way to the landing platform I thought to myself.

Meeting the avengers.

That's not gonna go well.
Rogers already suspects me.
So does the council.

I know their on my tail.

After slipping my hood up over my head, I vanished from the room, now walking swiftly towards the landing site.

There number 23 stood an waited.

I walked in quietly and was unnoticed by the others until Rogers turned around.

" East. You were put on this rescue mission as well?" Steve asked.
I nodded, not saying a word as I took my place in the co-pilots place.

Seconds later a red haired woman made her way to the pilots seat.

" you must be agent East." She said quietly.
I nodded my head and stared out the window." I am."

I heard her chuckled softly as the plane started rising into the air.

" you don't talk much do you?"

I ignored her and continued to think.

" I'm Natasha Romanov by the way." She said offering her hand.

I shivered as I remembered what happened last time I touched someone.
I covered my hand up by the sleeve and shook her hand quickly before pulling away and scurrying back to the other side of the jet.

I stood by the wall when I overheard Tony's and Steve's conversation.

" why does fury even care so much for this girl anyway?"

I decided now was the time to speak.

" because they love each other. They just don't know it yet."

A guy with a bag of arrows over his shoulder stood and raised his eyebrows.
" whoa you talk?"

I rolled my eyes and walked over to the trio.

" of course I'm not a mute." I snorted.

Steve came to me almost too close to comfort.

" what do you know about love agent East?" He asked with a low voice.

I backed up against the wall as he came closer.
" love is something that is hard to explain. It's a warm feeling that you get when your around someone, but most times you ignore it. I know little of what that's like Rogers."

I squirmed out the way and continued to stare out the window.

Minutes later the base was in sight.

" suit up everyone." Rogers called.

We gathered around in a circle and he started talking.

" alright East, your going to get agent Flynn. Natasha you and Clint are taking the west side. Tony you take east side and I will take the boss."

We nodded at the plan and Natasha landed the jet , not too far from the base.

Minutes later we are split up and I find my way down the unguarded halls to a locked door.

I made sure no one was looking before making one gesture that unlocked the door instantly.

I creeped inside to see agent Flynn lying on the ground.

" agent Flynn." I announced.

She shot up and sighed with relief." I knew you guys would come."

I nodded to her and quickly threw her a gun as I heard the sirens blaze.

" crap." I muttered under my breath as I gestured for Flynn to follow me down the halls , shooting whoever was in our way.

Minutes later we were outside and running towards the jet.

Once inside everyone else piled in and we flew back.

The ride was silent as we struggled to catch our breaths.

At the base agent Flynn was immediately rushed off to the infirmary with fury hot on her tail.

" mission report." Agent hill announced.

" Pearce is dead. Army's dead. And agent Flynn was rescued." Steve said.

She nodded and left , leaving us to take a break.

I wandered down the halls quietly when I sensed someone watching me.

I whipped around only to be face to face with a taser.

A shock went through my body and then everything went dark.
