I laugh when I feel rejected.
I laugh when I feel like crying.
I laugh when I lie.
I put on a smile when I'm hurting.
I put on a smile when I'm dying inside.
I put on a smile when somebody looks my way.
I say I'm fine when I need a hug.
I say I'm fine when I need someone to talk to.
I say I'm fine when I know I'm not.
So if you see me laugh,
Put on a forced smile,
And say I'm fine,
Know that I'm probably not
And don't throw me away...
