Chapter 8: Sports Festival Pt. 2

- Ready! Set! – Present Mic was doing the countdown to begin the next event of the sports festival – GO!

Everyone in the arena began running, carrying their respective "horses". Team Izuku had Ojiro in the front and Aoyama and a white haired boy on the sides. Shinso was in the back as Izuku was carried around by the brainwashed students and their puppeteer while dodging and trying to get the other horses' point bands. Izuku blocked a punch with his bare hand only for the opponent's arm to suddenly be covered in a red mass which quickly crawled towards his head and grabbed his point bandana before launching him out of his companions' grasp, as the rules said that if the horse fell the entire team would be eliminated, thus erasing the risk of the team trying to take back the points from Izuku. After some time they had already obtained the points of 3 other teams and eliminated them afterwards. Even if they didn't need the points to win, as they had more than a million points, it was useful as a diversion to place their bands in reverse so that the points wouldn't be visible, and the enemy wouldn't know which band to steal.Suddenly, they stopped. Izuku looked down and saw ice at their feet.

- Shit, Ojiro use your tail to break it! – Izuku said as Shinso ordered Ojiro to obey.Ojiro broke the ice just in time for them to back down as Todoroki attacked again this time aiming for the point bands. But she didn't stop there, and thanks to Iida's speed she was able to attack again and grab Izuku's arm. As Izuku tried to shake her off of him, she used her free left arm, which started to burn.

- I won't let you down dad! – she muttered as she tried to punch Izuku using her fire.Izuku's eyes widened as he saw the fire approach him, and he released a small burst of Symbiote through the arm Todoroki was holding him, before making it recover his arm forming a second layer. This caused Todoroki to let go of him for a moment, a chance Izuku took to release more Symbiote through his hand, turning it into a whip only to slash it towards her right after. Todoroki barely dodged it earning a small cut on her right cheek before her and her team backed down several meters before having to face Bakugo's team.

Izuku thought that nothing else could go wrong in the few seconds which remained. Then a shadow fell from the sky and three of his bands were torn away by Tokoyami, who was in Izumi's team. They had been floating above them, unseen, thanks to Uraraka's Quirk and the invention of a pink haired girl which was with them. Izuku realized that the million point band was still with them, but they had lost some points nonetheless.

- Sorry bro! – Izumi shouted as her team was propelled upwards again, a few seconds before a loud honk could be heard across the stadium, signaling the end of the trial. A few minutes later, the next and final trial was announced: 1v1 battles. Before starting, Ojiro and the white haired boy from Shinso's team abandoned. The opponents were organized this way:

§ Izumi Midoriya vs Shinso

§ Todoroki vs Sero

§ Kaminari vs Shiozaki

§ Iida vs Hatsume

§ Izuku Midoriya vs Ashido

§ Tokoyami vs Yaoyorozu

§ Kirishima vs Tetsutetsu

§ Bakugo vs Uraraka

The first matches ended with the victory of Todoroki, Shiozaki, Iida, Tokoyami and Bakugo. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu ended up in a draw, and the tie breaker between them was won by Kirishima.

Then it was Izumi's turn. It seemed she was aware of the capabilities of Shinso's Quirk, because at first she answered Shinso's provocations. But when she was about to step out of the ring area due to Shinso's Quirk acting, she saw something. Seven pairs of eyes watched her from the dark, and for a moment, she was able to move her fingers enough to produce a big enough wind pressure with One for All to free herself from Shinso's Quirk and win the match by throwing him over her shoulder and leaving his feet out of the ring.
