The kiss was like... Magic, she never wanted to pull away, it was.... Electrifying. Like the universe and all of its parts just stopped, now sure, they have kissed before, but their was something... Different about this one. Something new. Something that wasn't their before. After a while, they both ran out of air, they pulled away and looked at each other, he spoke first. "Wow!" He said, still trying to catch his breathe, "that was, I mean, just... Wow." She laughed and pulled him to his feet, "is that all you have to say?" She asked still laughing. She could tell by the look in his eye that he was lost for words, now that... That never, ever happens. She was impressed. "Never took you for a man who could run out of words. " She said as She left the room.

She went to the kitchen to grab some water, when her cell went off. "Benson." She said, taking a sip of water as she waited for the voice to reply. "Detective Benson, nice to hear you in such high spirits. Tell me, how have things been?" He asked, She could feel him smirking though the phone as the words rolled of his tongue, like he practiced them a million times before calling. "Tucker, things have been great, you know, never better." She lied coolly, that seemed to be her fraise now. "What is it that I can do for you, Lieutenant?" She asked. Her voice sounded like icicles falling from the roof onto the hard, cold ground. "I just wanted to let you know that your squad is working over time to figure out what happned in that aparment, but their are only three people who know what happned, and one of them is dead." His voice dropped to a whisper at the last part, She began to shiver at the sound of his voice, it was like nails being scraped across a chalkbored. "What is it that you want from the other two people in the room?" She asked, trying to hide the fear in her voice as she heard his breathe on the line, slow and even, "just a statement about what happened. Thats all, come to my office tomarrow morning and we will disscuss it." With that, he hung up. She stood their, frozen, with the phone still in her hand, when El walked into the room, "who was that?" He asked, walking pass her and grabbing a cup from the cabinet. She didn't say anything, she just stared at the phone. He turned around and looked at her, she could feel his eyes burning holes in her, but she didn't say anything. She sighed and put the phone down. " That was Tucker." She said quietly, almost so no one could hear her, maybe if no one did, then she could pretend it didn't happen. To bad he heard her, loud and clear...

"Tucker?" El said, loudly, he made the cups in the sink vibrate from the force of his voice alone. "What did he want?" El said coldly, he stopped shuffling around int the kitchen and sat on the counter. He slowly took her hand and had her sit on top of the counter with him. "Babe, what's wrong? Come on you know you can tell me." He looked at me calmly, waiting for me to speak, She took a deep, deep breathe, "he wants me to come to his office tomorrow morning, make a statement." She heard El's breathe catch in his chest as he listened. He didn't say anything for a while, he just listened to her explanation. When She was done, he sat their, once again burning holes in the wall. She heard him move behind her and felt him slowly put his hands on her shoulders. He leaned over and kissed the top of her head. She leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes. She couldn't breathe, it felt like the room was running far to low on oxygen for any person to survive. " I feel like I can't breathe." She whispered putting her head in her hands. El used his hands, and gently pulled her head away, " your just having a panic attack, I used to get them all the time. You just have her relax Liv. Try taking some deep breathes. " he said quietly. She did and after a while, my brain stopped working over time, and my breathing evened out. "Better?" He asked as he lifted my glass and filled it with more water. I nodded slowly. " thank you, but I have to ask, how do you do it?" He looked at her, took her hand and led her to the couch.

"Do what?" He asked her as we sat down together, she took another sip of water. She thought for a second before she responded, "how do you stay so calm? How are you not flipping out yet?" She leaned my head to look at him as he laughed. "It's not easy, do you remember when we first saw each other again? I wasn't just their for you, if he got released I was gonna hurt him. Beat him in the street till he felt just as much pain as you did that day. But I ran into you, kind of literally, first." He laughed, and then sighed. He looked at she, " I guess you saved me just as much as I saved you. So I remember that no matter what happens, no matter how this ends, he can never hurt you, or anyone else ever again. That's a fact that I can live with. Besides, you will never go to prison, not on my watch."she sighed again. She was so tired, the days just seemed to drag on now, one almost blending into another, the only thing that made the days worth while, was seeing Elliott. That made it all worth it. She fell asleep with his arm wrapped around her. When she awoke, he was asleep, his arm still tightly wrapped around her. She watched him sleep, his face relaxed, almost as if their wasn't a care in the world on his mind, but she knew that was a lie, he was just a great liar.

She slowly got up and went to her giant window in her room. It was huge, it covered one third of the wall, and the best part, it opened. She pushed it open and slowly placed her legs outside, one foot at a time, She had done this millions of times, sitting on the edge of the window. She watched as the city bustled about below. It was early, so She sat on her window and watched the sun rise, amazing colors of pink, orange, and yellow filled the sky like paint on a canvas. As she was enjoying the view, she heard El stirring in the next room. She listened as his now familiar foot steps were the only sound being made in the apartment. She heard the door softly open and close. "I thought you were asleep." He said softly as he rubbed his face. He sat down next to her, and wrapped his arms around her. " I know that I probably can't even begin to imagine how bad you feel, but, I want to help, tell me, how can I help?" He whispered into her hair. She sighed, and thought about it. "Let's go for another walk." She said, She took his hand and put on her shoes, when he was ready they left the apartment together.

The cold autumn air hit them like a cool friend, welcoming them back into its nice cold arms. We left the building and slowly began our walk around the city, almost as if every step was like, spinning a story. whispering it in the wind with every sound we heard. It was, perfect, it was just what she needed. El looked down at her and laughed. " I guess this is just what you needed." he said as he hugged her closer. She nodded and they continued walking along. She sighed as they walked, their feet crunching on leaves as they walked. After a while he looked down at her, "What are you thinking about?" He asked her as they reached the corner, they crossed the street before She answered, " Just about how nice this is, not to have to worry about anything or be scared to walk out of my own aparement. I... I dont have to be trapped anymore, weather its in that house... Or in my own mind." She sighed as she looked up at him, he looked as if he was thinking hard, we dident say anything else, we walked in a comftable silence all the way back to my apartment.

She placed the key slowly into the lock and turned it, She could feel his warm breathe on her neck as she slowly opened the door. They walked into her apartment, as she put her coat away, he wrapped his arms around her and snuggled into her neck. "Tired?" He asked slowly, softly, so she was the only one who could hear him. She nodded and closed her eyes, it seemed like she was always tired now. "It's ok. Look, we have to get up early to talk to Tucker anyway, why don't you try and get some sleep?" He whispered as he slowly opened her bedroom door.

"We?" she mumbled as she walked into her room, She heard him chuckle behind her as he shut the door "Ya, if you think im going to let you go alone, well, your crazier then he is." She sat down on the bed and slowly took off her shoes. She straightened up and moved her hands to her neck, She began to rub it as She closed her eyes. She felt the bed bounce and heard a soft chuckle behind her, "Here," he said Quietly as as he put her arms by her sides. He repositioned behind her and got as close as he could, "let me do it." She closed her eyes as she waited for him to begin, but she felt him hesitate before he started, She opened her eyes and turned to look at him. His hands were up in the air, but he was looking at her back, she couldn't imagine why, but then she remembered, the scar on the back of her neck. When Louis used the knife, and brought it down, hard all over her skin.

" I'm sorry." El said, She could hear his breathe catch in his chest as he played with her hair, twisting and weaving it though his fingers. "Why are you apologizing?" She asked quietly, he had nothing to be sorry about, he did nothing wrong. In fact, he was the reason I was ok and not... balled up in a corner weeping. She told him, and he laughed. She was confused, "Why is that funny?" She asked curiosly. he laughed again, sighed and said, "I find it funny that, No matter what situations come to break you, you always find a way to pick someone else up. Even if it doesnt benifit you in the slightest." He laughed again, She punched him lightheartedly in the arm. then he wrapped it around her. They walked out of their apartment together and headed towards Tucker's office.
