He was staring down at me like a beaten dog. I don't know where he came from or why but I was shire glad to see him. He began firing at the only remaining guy who was hiding behind one of the old broken down trucks. I got up on my feet and dragged Jessica behind the vehicle Jaziel was behind.

"Where the hell have you been man?" I asked loudly trying to beat the gunfire.

"Around, you?"

"All over the place comrade." I then placed my hands across the hood of the vehicle to stabilize the handgun I was holding. I gunfire stopped almost instantly after a scream came from the guy behind the truck. We stood there in silence for some time. A weeping sound started coming from behind truck.

"I'm moving up to take care of him, guard her." Jaziel nodded his head and I began my way to the truck. The grass was damp, I didn't know if it was just water or the blood from the other two guys. When I approached the truck the weeping turned into a wheezing. I was holding my gun up and went around the truck only to see this guy lying on the ground up against the truck. Blood covered his back and his hand holding the exit wound. I saw he got shot in one of his lungs. Surprised the shock didn't kill him I shot one into his knee. He let out a wheezing cry of pain.

"Feel that? That's the pain you made her feel" I said pointing to Kedryns dead body. I saw his eyes roll over to look at her, then they rolled back to me. I walked over to the open gas lock, his eyes followed me. I took a tube out from my backpack and began sucking what little gas was left in the tank in my mouth. It tasted like shit but I didn't care. With every gulp I spit it out onto his body. I could tell he wasn't enjoying my little game, I didn't care. I spat the last little drop on him and pulled out a pack of matches. His eyes widened.

"Now, your going to feel all the pain that you have done unto others." He started to shake his head but I ignored it. I lit the match and threw it on him, he began to squirm. I knew I was loosing it, I just sat there and watched as this guy burned.

"Why did it matter?" I asked myself. I've done so much shit in my life, what makes this any different. After the fire put itself out I walked away and back to Jaziel and Jessica.

"What took so long? What was that sound?" He asked looking worried at me.

"A lost soul getting what he deserves....."

I walked over to Jessica who was on the ground leaned up against the door of the vehicle. She was looking down and mumbling something.

"She started doing this after you left" said Jaziel looking at me weirdly. I looked at him and back at her.

"You ok?" I asked kneeling down and putting my hand on her shoulder. She looked up at me crying, this frightened me.

"It, his screams reminded me of the camp, bandit camp. Hundreds and hundreds of people dying all at once. There screams, haunt me and stick with me like a lock on a door. I can end it, if I just take this gun and..."

"No!" I said sternly cutting her off. Jaziel looked extremely uncomfortable.

"I, I have a little warehouse as my hideout not to far from here, we will be safe there." I nodded my head. That word hideout reminded me of the time this all started. That cold rainy night.

I picked Jessica up on her feet and we began following Jaziel through the town. I took one good look back at Kedryns dead body, at least she got an easy way out of this hell. Most of the town was overgrown as I said before. Standing water covered the area like a ocean, there was still some walking ground though. We came up upon an old warehouse looking building. Most of the lettering was either overgrown or completely gone so I couldn't identify the building. Jaziel walked in front of us and pushed open the giant metal doors.
