"YOU HAVE TO LET ME DO THIS!" harry screamed hysterically.

"No, Harry it isn't worth it," I said firmly, my arms still around him.

"I can't live without him!" he wailed, struggling to get out of my grasp.

"You and I both know he wouldn't want this," I tried to convince him.

"I need him," he shouted, but with less gusto, his body going still.

"I know you do love," I whispered, pulling him close to me and holding him tight.

"He was my everything Niall, I-i can't," he whispered, burying his face in my chest.

"Eeeeeeehhhhhhhh,"

A loud beeping filled the room, making my ears ring. Suddenly the door burst open and a line of nurses/doctors filed into the room.

"You need to get out of here," a nurse told me, looking urgent.

"Up you go," I said quietly, grabbing Harrys t-shirt and hoisting him up onto his feet, before dragging him out of the room.

"He's awake. Unstable and critical, but awake," a nurse told me quietly just before she shut the door and dropped the blinds.

"NO!" Harry yelled before bursting into tears, collapsing against me.

"Hey, you're alright," I whispered, wrapping my arms around him and sinking down to the floor, pulling him down onto my lap.

He curled up to me and pressed his face into my neck, sobbing so hard he was shaking. He sounded like he was hyperventilating.

"Hey, Harry he's awake. Louis' awake and he's gonna be okay," I said, even though I didn't know that.

"I can't- I can't do this without him," Harry cried into my shoulder.

"You won't have to," I said, rubbing his back with one of my hands to calm him down.

"I haven't seen his eyes in so long. Haven't heard his voice," he continued to sob.

"Harry he's okay, why are you so upset?" I asked after about five minutes of him crying.

He took a shaky breath and forced himself to calm down some.

"You don't understand," he said in between shuddering breaths.

"No I don't," I agreed with him, nodding for him to continue.

"This is exactly what happened when," his voice cracked. "When you died," he finished in a barely whisper.

"What?" I dead-panned.

"You were dead. For about three minutes. I didn't even know you'd lived until about 20 minutes later, right after I found out that Louis was in a coma," he said slowly, struggling to hold in his tears.

"Oh my god," I said, shocked.

"I was so scared Niall. We all were. For two weeks," he told me.

"I'm so sorry," I apologized, starting to understand how the other boys felt.

"It's okay," he whispered, leaning all of his weight on me, exhausted from all of the crying.

"Everything's going to be okay," I said quietly, ruffling his hair.

I just hoped I was right.
