Chapter One
Alexis POV
I look out the window of my whitelimo. My dad's wife decided we needed to "bond" that's here idea of going out shopping and buying me all new clothes because all of mine are not designer. Like hers. She thinks that since my gap jeans don't have holes in them they are "like
so last year" her words not mine. I look at the cars whizzing by me. I look into the cars. I see people gaping at my limo. I hate it. I am the kind of person that people look at and go "wow she's spoiled" I hate it.
I look at Julie. I will never call her mom. Never. She is not my mom.
(next morning)
I look up at my brother and sister, their toothy grins staring at me wondering what I'll do to them. I narrow my eyes at them and jump out of my covers, revealing my bunny pajamas. They run to the other side of my room, still smiling. I chase them out of my room, down the stairs, and into the kitchen. I smell the scent of sizzling bacon on the stove and I grin at the cook, before I run after the twins again. That cook is good.
Cindy and Ben are hiding underneath the coffee table, "It's probably worth a couple thousand" I think to myself resentfully. I would just love to see the twins break it. "Where are those two? Hmmmmmm...... I can't find them anywhere." I say playfully, "Oh! There they are!" They both scramble out from under there but are two slow and they know it. I take two quick steps toward them. I tickle them and they instantly burst out laughing. I sigh, finally realizing how early they woke me. Cindy is still giggling but Benny had already scooted out of my reach. I let out a laugh as the cook says, "breakfasts ready!" the second we heard breakfast we were up and moving.
My dad came stumbling down the stairs, still half asleep. "I heard breakfast is ready" he says with a smile. Then he tackled Benny, Cindy, and I in a big bear hug before we all dug into our breakfast.
