Stonefork Chapter 5
Two boxes of pizza, three two-liters of soda, and three agonizing hours of hearing Connor's gushy talk to Shannon later everyone was gone. I internally groan at the thought of their talk. "I am never going to one of your parties again!" I yell across the room to Connor. He just laughs.
"We are going to the beach tomorrow." He announces.
"What if I don't want to go?" I ask.
"You know you want to see this hottie in a swimsuit," He says, waggling his eyebrows. I roll my eyes.
"You know I did just but a new bikini..."
"Can't wait to see it, babe!" I roll my eyes again. Sheesh! They sure are getting a workout today!

CONNORS POV
I watch her walk down the shore, grabbing shells and putting them in a basket in front of me. God, I love her so much!
I was lost in thought watching those perfect hips sway when she turned around. "You wanna keep staring at my butt or you wanna talk?" She inquires smirking. I can feel the blood rushing to my face as I quickly walk up beside her. Luckily, she laughs. I search my brain for something to talk about.
"What was that secret you wouldn't tell me about?" I ask casually.
"I don't know!"
"Yes you do."
"I'm not so sure about that."
"I am!" She says confidently. I pick her up, all in one motion, and run into the cold water. She narrows her eyes at me. "Don't do it!" She yells!
"Not a chance!" I yell dunking her in the water. When she rises back up she looks mad. Uh, oh! I quickly try to swim to the coast - failing miserably. She pushes on my head trying to dunk me back but can't. "Ha!" I yell, scanning the shore. He's here? I let out a breath of anger. Then squirm out of her grasp and dunk her again. Her eyes widening before she goes under.
"What the heck!" She sputters once she hits the surface, "Why'd you do that?"
"No reason," I mumble, attempting a grin, but it turned out more like a grimace instead - better her mad at me than upset about him.
"Hmph!" She says, obviously unhappy. I step in front of her view of the shore, but it's too late - she saw him.
Her eyes, full of water, open wide and then she manages to scowl. I turn around and see him wading in the water over to us.
