Could Jen and Seth actually be Chosen (Chosen are basically peeps with Purple eyes)? We see in a couple panels near the beginning where their eyes are indeed Purple.

And yet it's said numerous times throughout the novel that "they are not Chosen." But, what if they really are Chosen, and their full Luster isn't there quite yet?

It's said by John that the Purple in his and Korey's eyes were "only flecks at first."

What if this is what is currently happening to Jen and Seth, and they're just unaware of it at the moment because it's still developing?

I'm probably overthinking what was most likely a mistake; but ya know what? Oh well.

(I need a sequel so badly...)
