Finally, the day of discharge from the hospital came and Juliana was thrilled to be able to finally return to her normal life. She dressed and got ready to go out, accompanied by her mother.
"Juli don't try too hard, you've just been released!"
"Mom, don't worry, I feel in great shape!! I can't wait to go home with you and pick up everything from how I left it before the accident!" - she told her, with incredible energy, that made Lupita smile.
"Okay sweetie, Panchito is out here waiting for us, let's go home!"
"Hey mom, by the way, can you warn Valentina? Surely she would want to know that I'm coming home and...well, anyway, I would like to warn her that I'm fine!" - she told her with a hint of embarrassment that made Lupita smile a lot.
Her daughter has always been attracted to Valentina, even unconsciously, and this behavior was proving this even more.
"Of course, darling! But look, why don't you do it yourself? I put her number in your phone so you can call her personally!"
Lupita knew it wasn't true, but she couldn't remember always having this number, so she decided to keep the game and indulge her daughter's memory with as much time as necessary.
"Oh mom, thank you, you were very kind! But what do I tell her? I mean, I don't know her, how do I approach her? What if I just send her a message? Yes, maybe I'll just do that, I don't wanna bother her!"
"All right Juli! Well, for someone who just has to call a friend you're shaking a lot! - Lupita said, laughing.
"What are you talking about? It's just that I don't know, I feel a strage connection with her, even though we met each other recently. I don't know if you can understand..."
"Of course darling, much more than you can imagine!"
"Okay, okay I see that the situation makes you smile a lot, then you'll explain it to me! Now let's go home, I can't wait!" - and rushed towards the exit, towards her second chance!
