Layla's POV:
I'm Layla. I'm 16 years old and I live in London with my mum and my brother. I go to Rosebelle Academy and I'm your stereotypical loser.

Nothing special about me.
But anyway, I bet you want to here all about how utterly perfect my home life is compared to the torture of school. How my childhood was better than all of yours. I bet you want all that 'I'm secretly perfect' crap but to be honest it's not true. And besides I don't feel like going into it, not just yet anyway...
That doesn't really matter though, because I'm going to start from the day my life changed.
I know, cheesy right? But that is the truth, I wouldn't be the same if I didn't walk in at that exact time at that exact place, into that exact girl...

My boots scuffed against the floor as I dragged myself towards the cafeteria to ignore the growing pains in my stomach.
I internally groaned as the smell of fish fingers and chips crawled up my nostrils. Using this as inspiration I skip the last few steps and push open the door with ease.
That's when it happened, it was all so quick. I didn't know what was going on until I was trapped, two arms pinning me to the ground and blonde hair blocking my view of the rest of the canteen.
All I could see was her face. Soft blue eyes contrasted my piercing green ones and a light blush covered her cheeks. Her skin was pale and looked so soft.
I wonder if it feels soft as well?
Wtf! Why are you thinking this Layla, you just met her!!!
I brush the thought off and focus on her lips. They were a light pink and slightly chapped but not enough to look unpleasant and the corners were pulled into a small smile.
I stared up at her through wisps of blonde and she stared down at me. I was pulled into a dream like state where all I could think about is if she tastes as good as she looks.
"Need some help." Her hand was extended before her and a pink dress fell just below her knee.
Without hesitation I take her hand and hoist myself up. "Thanks ummm..."
"Matilda"
Cute name for a cute girl.
"Thank you" Shit did I say that out loud.
"Anyway did you want to maybe sit wi-" Before I could finish my sentence Britannia and her minions sashay over to us and glare me down.
"Ewww, Tilly why are you talking to Lesbo Layla." I give my most evil snarl at her and pretend to be checking around the room for something.
"What are you looking for?" She waits a couple seconds before giggling," your girlfriend"
I smirk and look up at her with such malice that I see her step back slightly,"No, actually I was looking about the amount of fucks I give about you and this utterly pointless conversation we're having, but I can't seem to find anything." I spit out at her.
That receives a couple oooooo's from the crowd but I learnt my lesson. Never fall for a Queen when you are just a slave.
I flick my coal black hair over my shoulder and walk away, away from the drama, away from the mess, away from Matilda.
Jesus, her name even gives me chills. Whatever,
it's not like she likes me
it's not like I have the same effect on her that she has on me.
Anyway...
She's probably straight.
