Chapter 3

Doctors

Ow. This first thought that arose in the boys barely conscious mind was one of pain. This was becoming a pattern he wasn't too fond of. He hadn't opened his eyes yet, but he already knew he wasn't alone in this new room.

"Oh, you're awake," a familiar happy voice sung.

The boy slowly opened his eyes, they stung due to the bright lighting.

"Now let's get you sat up," the doctor spoke softly as he pushed a handle on the bed, allowing it to sit upwards.

The boy groaned, his body in a great deal of pain. Hoseok wore a pout of sympathy, as one would show to a child, it made Yoongi mentally roll his eyes. The smiley doctor held a hand out expectantly, whereas the witch simply stared with eyebrows raised in question.

"What?" he spat rather harshly. Hoseok was seemingly unaffected by the witches tone and gently took his arm and wrapped a tight band around it. He poked lightly at the arm, Yoongi now finally catching up to what was happening held his breath.

"Do you know what poison was used? It would save us a lot of time and get you healed quicker," the soft spoken doctor explained, trying to distract the smaller male as he pricked his skin with the needle, filling up three vials of blood.

"I think it was venom based, but beyond that I'm not sure," he held a cotton ball on the puncture mark, provided by the doctor, while Hoseok nodded and bagged his blood.

Yoongi never had an issue with blood, but he did have some painful memories regarding sharp needles. Yet he shoved all that aside for now.

"That's what I also suspected, but shouldn't be too hard to cure. Are you hungry?" he walked over to the heavy door, holding it open patiently. Yoongi just stared cautiously, doubting he was actually allowed to freely leave the room.

"C'mon," Hoseok smiled again, "As we agreed, some food and treatment before you can visit your friend."

Without needing any more persuasion, the witch stood from the bed and followed behind the doctor. The halls were as cold and dark as they had been night previous. He followed the kind doctor to a set of stairs, guards that lined the walls giving hesitant, almost disgusted glares at the smaller man. Hoseok whispered something to the last guard at the top of the stairs, who studied Yoongi for an uncomfortable amount of time before nodding and letting the pair through.

Yoongi almost got whiplash from the sudden change in scenery. He stood in a long corridor, the floors adorned by Rich red carpets, the walls painted a crisp and cool shade of grey, the windows decorated by velvet curtains, matching the colour of the floor. The furniture in the corridor was deep wooden chairs with plush red cushions, tables holding gold vases of gorgeous flowers of every shade, especially red. Yoongi was soon made aware of the red theme of the castle, he kinda liked it. The small witch couldn't help but stare mouth agape at the tall ceilings and giant windows, allowing floods of natural lighting to pour into the room.
Sure, Yoongi had seen luxury before, but it wasn't like this. It wasn't as deep and rich feeling.

Hoseok smiled at the witches reaction.
"Come along, Don't want you getting lost around here," he chuckled lightly before walking down the long corridor.

The pair stopped momentarily before large, almost black, wooden double doors. They were at least twice Yoongis height and had huge golden handles. Hoseok knocked twice before both doors slowly opened, welcoming the pair into the jaw dropping kitchen.

About twenty maids and chefs ran around the kitchen, preparing various meals and starting their early morning chores. Two more guards in uniform held the kitchen doors open, faces remaining stoic and posture perfectly straight. Yoongi looked down at his own garments, his previous outfit had been stripped of him and he now simply wore a loose white tunic and a pair of deep grey trousers. The tunic fell down to his thighs and the sleeves were well beyond his wrists. The small witch could feel his cheeks pinken as he realised how underdressed he was compared to the guards and even the maids.
