Chapter 7 - Truth

Naraku landed in a field with the castle a few hundred yards away. He looked at the castle, then at you as he set you on the ground. Sami flew into your arms and you held him. 

"Stay here. I need to kill the humans in this castle." Naraku said. You looked at him. 

"You will kill them? Why?" You asked. He looked into your eyes. 

"Because I'm a demon and I need a hiding spot." Naraku said. You held Sami close. 

"Then why keep me alive?" You asked. Naraku sighed. 

"Because you can keep the jewel shard hidden from those that can see it." He said. You took it out from your kimono. 

"So, your using me to keep it hidden?" You asked, looking at the shard. You felt Naraku's hand go under your chin and make you look at him. 

"Is that a problem? I did save your life and you said you would help me." He said. You wanted to say yes it was but you couldn't. He had saved your live. You smiled at him and put the shard away.    

"No. I guess I'm just not comfortable with the idea of people dying. Could you not tell me when you do kill people?" You asked. Naraku gave a small smile and nodded. 

"Of course. Stay hidden. I won't be long." Naraku said and turned, walking to the castle. You watched him leave before you walked over to a tree and sat down under it. When you did, you looked and saw that the castle was now gone. 

'He must have put up his barrier.' You thought. You let Sami go and he flew around a bit and you watched him, smiling. You knew that Naraku was evil, but he was kind to you. Your eyes started to drift close but you then felt something pulling at your sleeve. You opened your eyes to see it was Sami but he looked worried. You stood and saw him looking worried as he pulled you. You looked behind you and saw the group that Naraku was watching before running towards you. You started to run. 

"Sami, go tell Naraku!" You said. Sami flew off and you saw him fly high in the air, dodging an arrow. You watched that and ran right into something, falling on the ground. You stood up fast and looked at what you hit and saw a guy wearing red with long silver hair and dog ears.     

"Where is Naraku?" He asked you. You saw a giant sward in his hand and you took a step back. when you did, you felt someone grab you and throw you to the ground. you landed on your stomach and you tried to get up but someone got on top of you. you tried to get up but froze when you felt something sharp on your neck. 

"Where is he!" A lady yelled. You felt tears in your eyes. 

"I don't know!" You yelled. You felt the lady get off you but you were kicked and rolled on to your back. You then saw the guy point to sward to your face. 

"She is lying. I can smell Naraku all over her." He said. You felt the tears falling down your cheeks as you looked at the sward.

"She doesn't have and shards on her, maybe she's running from him." The girl with the bow said. A man with a staff took a step up. 

"That's what Naraku would want us to think." He said. The child with a tail nodded.   

"Should we kill her?" You heard another girl asked. she had long brown hair in a pony tail. It was silent but then the guy put the sward away. 

"No. Tie her up and she will lead us to Naraku. He will come for her." The guy with dog ears said. You then felt your self being picked up by the arm and a girl with the long brown hair in a pony tail tied your hands together. She head on to the other end. 

"Ready." She said. You saw the guy with the dog ears walking away from the castle and you bit your lip. You know they were going the wrong way so you just followed with your head down. You would look up every now and again and see if they were watching you, which they weren't so you tried to undo the knott but you then felt something fly by you. you looked, seeing a girl in a school uniform had just released an arrow, almost hitting you. 

"Try that again and I won't miss." She said. You gave a small nod and continued to follow them. You know your wouldn't be able to get away.
