Chapter 13 - Travel

You didn't get much sleep that night but you weren't tired. When the sun rose, you saw Sesshomaru stand, along with Jaken and Ah-Un. Rin was still sleeping on Ah-Un's back and you stood also, following Sesshomaru. 

"Who taught you to read?" You heard Sesshomaru ask. 

"Oh, umm school. It's normal for kids to go to...sorry. I forgot I'm not in my time." You said. After a year here, you sometimes forget about your not from this time. Sesshomaru looked back to look at you. 

"Time? are you from the time of that wench my pathetic half brother travels with? Kagome I believe her name is." He asked. you flinched at her name, looking around to make sure she wasn't close. You gave a sigh of relief when you didn't see her or her group.  

"No, well, I'm not sure. I'm from (Year it is)." You said. Sesshomaru nodded and you heard a yawn. You looked and it was Rin. You gave a smile. 

"Good morning Rin." You said. She looked and smiled before jumping off Ah-Un and hugged you.

"Good morning (y/n)." Rin said. You smiled and hugged her. She then moves and runs over to Sesshomaru. 

"Sesshomaru-sama. I'm going to go find food." She said. Sesshomaru nodded and looked at you. 

"Go with her." He said and you followed Rin, who ran to a small steam and looked before smiling. 

"Fish!" she said and rolled up her kimono and got into the water and waited. You looked around and saw what looking like a human walking over. 

"Rin, get behind me." You said, not trusting him. He looked like a traveler. Once he was close, he smiled. 

"Ah, a woman and her child. I haven't had a woman in quiet a while." He said and draw an arrow, and point it at you with his bow.   

"Now, do not move child or I will kill your mother. Woman, get undre..." The man suddenly stopped talking and he's head fell to the ground. Behind him was Sesshomaru. Rin smiled and ran over to him. 

"Sesshomaru-sama!" She said happily. You walked over and grabbed the bow and arrow. 

"Don't, unless you truly do wish death." Sesshomaru said. You looked at him. 

"I spent a year learning how to shoot one. just watch." you said and pulled an arrow, holding it to the sky, took aim and fired. You put the bow around you and the arrows on your back as a bird fell, arrow in its stomach. Rin smiles and lifts it up. 

"Wow! a whole bird! this can feed everyone. That's amazing (y/n)." Rin said. You smiled and walked over, taking the arrow out and held it. 

"Well, lets cook this and eat, then we will start your lessons." You said. rin smiled and jumped for joy and you laughed but looked to the skys. 

'Lord Naraku, don't trust Kagura.' You thought. 

~With Naraku~ 

I saw the castle come into view and casted my barrier around it as I land. I see Kagura waiting for me, but not (y/n). 

"Where is (y/n)?" I asked. Kagura looked at me and held out a bloody jewel. 

"We were attacked. I tried to save her...she gave me this to give back to you before she died." Kagura said before she left. I looked at the bloody jewel and felt sadness. 

'(y/n)...is dead?' I thought. I looked into Kagura's heart, seeing she was telling the truth. I then saw Sami fly over. I thought about killing him, but...

"Come Sami. Lets get revenge for (y/n)." I said. I would hunt that demon down and kill him for killing the one human I, Naraku, cared about.
