Hello everyone and welcome to The Hazbin Hotel Project! As you may or may not know, this is actually the last short story I will be posting for this series. In truth, I hadn't expected a small curiosity to grow into what it has become. Words really can't describe the gratitude, the sorrow, and surprise I am feeling as this tale had been written.

Readers....thank you. Thank you for being patient with me, for being supportive, and for helping me share something wonderful to the rest of the world as the official launch date for the show draws nearer.

I would like to thank Murderluv23 once again for helping me write out this request from EllaAspenFrost

So, without further ado, let the final show begin :)

[First Name] [Last Name] was a charming fellow, sensitive and full of wisdom. You could imagine the public's outcry when discovering he assisted Alastor in his crimes when they were alive. Well, it was less an assistance and more of selective silence. He never breathed a word of what Alastor was up to when no one was looking. At first, Alastor had done an impeccable job at keeping his frightful hobby a secret. Partially for obvious reasons, partially because he didn't want his dear friend [First Name] to get caught in the crossfire.

But along with these unusual qualities was the notion that [First Name] had been a very intelligent man. He began noticing patterns Alastor had on his time off, he noticed him disappearing without explanation, he noticed him shifting his behavior when he noticed [First Name]'s silent observations. Alastor had honestly begun to worry he had been caught red-handed. [First Name]'s silent observations had seemed to settle down after some time and that had calmed him down. But one day, Alastor was caught in the act. In the middle of hiding a recent victim's body, [First Name] had come for a visit and witnessed exactly what Alastor wish he hadn't.

His reaction was...unusual. He had just finished staring at the unsightly scene in front of him after a minute, then proceeded to request help with his piano sheets, something that they bonded over since they were children. That was, of course, if he wasn't too busy. [First Name] sat in a chair and waited for Alastor to finish his...business. Alastor was stunned. Not just because of his reaction, or rather, lack of it. But because [First Name] had expressed such an undying hatred for murderers in the past. He detested unnecessary bloodshed, he despised war. But there he was...sitting in his common room as if nothing had happened.

[First Name] never provided an explanation for his behavior, he simply went about his business as usual. He turned a blind eye to Alastor's unruly endeavors and the aforementioned man never understood why. Alastor valued [First Name]'s life and reputation, so it killed him inside that he had witnessed something that could put him in harm's way. He also valued the other's opinion of him and this little...mishap had caused Alastor so much turmoil. It was so hard to tell what he was thinking.

[First Name] never gave him a reason to believe he hated him. Their friendship had remained the same, singing, playing instruments, etc. [First Name] being one of the very few people he allowed to touch him. Often leaning on his shoulder when he became drowsy during long music practice, despite being taller. That was a relief, at least.

Or so Alastor liked to convince himself.

They now resided in Hell after dying on Earth. It honestly broke Alastor's heart finding him in such a place, from his point of view he didn't deserve to be here. He was such a sweet man. But he supposed in the eyes of the angels, selective silence was just as sinful as the act itself. Utter rubbish if you asked him, he was the one truly responsible. But there wasn't a thing he could do at that point. So, he had decided to just enjoy the fact that they were still together, even in death. But while this streak of loyalty was incredible, it could also be problematic.

Now, Alastor was not one to fall in love. He never had, in fact. Him experiencing romantic attraction, or any for that matter, was unheard of. But knowing [First Name] for such a long time has changed things. They've formed such a strong emotional bond and for someone like Alastor, that was the only special circumstance in which he gained romantic feelings. It was strange, though. He had a deep emotional bond with quite a few others as well but had felt nothing for them. [First Name] was the only one that had accomplished such a thing. And it was deeply confusing.

More than that, Alastor felt he did not deserve [First Name]'s affections, platonic or otherwise. His undying loyalty was the most confusing and mysterious things about him. It was frightening, very frightening.
