Sasuke's POV

As I locked the door of my apartment, I smelled something different in the air today.

It smelled somewhat, sweet?

Sweet?

I thought.

And again, how could the air smell sweeter than usual?

The question lingered in my mind as it finally hit me.

Oh. It's Valentine's.

And as I walked by the park toward the training grounds, I saw some proof to support my hypothesis.

Couples.

All seated under the shades of various trees, enjoying the sunny weather.

All of them either cuddling, kissing, and yes, that kind of stuff.

I secretly glanced at the nearby trash cans.

Wrappers. Tons and tons of chocolate wrappers carelessly thrown into the can.

I smirked and shook my head, disapprovingly.

Men these days. They'd even buy the whole candy shop just for women.

And suddenly, the thought of a certain pinkette flooded my mind.

Recalling the day she gave me chocolates for the same occasion back when we were Genins.

"H-Hey, Sasuke-kun!" Sakura called as she ran towards the raven.

"Hn. What do you want now?" He coldly asked.

"Ah.. eh..I-I just want to give these to you."

She soon handed him a box containing home-made chocolates.

He stared at it, as if it was the first time he saw the sweet.

"Tsk. Sakura, go bother Naruto. I hate sweets." And with that, he walked away.

Leaving the broken hearted kunoichi behind.

I twitched at that memory.

Well, it's not like that was the first time one of my fangirls attempted to give me gifts on Valentine's Day.

But even so, isn't it kind of 'weired' just to even think that the girl would be the one to give the boy chocolates?

I sighed.

I guess, I woud never understand them..

As I reached the East gates of the village, I spotted Naruto with a box of chocolates and a bouquet of red roses in hand.

I raised an eyebrow.

"Hey, Sasuke-teme!" he greeted with a grin.

"Hn." I acknowledged.

"What are you doing with that, Dobe?" I finally asked.

"Oh these?" He laughed out loud "Haha! Funny Teme, don't tell me you forgot it's Valentine's?!"

"I didn't."

"Jeez. You're such a kill joy. Anyway, I'm going to give these to Hinata-chan!" He said.

"You love her?"

Immediately, he blushed like a tomato.

"O-Of course n-not! Hey, just b-because I'm giving her gifts on Valentine's Day, means that I love her!?"

"Yes."

"N-No! Sasuke buddy, look, giving gifts to a girl on heart's day, doesn't completely mean that you love her! Let's say, it can also mean that, um.. you appreciate her! You know, a 'thank you for caring for me so much' kind of gift?" Naruto reasoned.
