After Lance and Bonnie made sure that Gary, Clemont and Serena were all asleep soundly and truly resting for the first time in days since this whole disaster occurred; they returned to the front room where the blonde girl smiled some and knelt before the sun in the large windows. She let it caress her face and warm her skin; drawing on positive energy and emotions.
Then she opened her eyes and turned to Lance, "I will begin a deep meditation that draws on positive energy, our emotional connection, and the need to find them. This will hopefully allow me to sense a tracing of their spiritual energy and form a link to them. This is very similar to psychic power, but it only happens with me to Zygarde; or the half of him that I bonded to in order to save the other."
Bonnie then seemed hesitant, "As I mentioned, there is no way to know for sure if I can reach them. I do not know if there is a limit to how far I can go before the bond refuses to reach out more, but please do be aware that I am confident I can reach out and to know that I will try to reach until I know I cannot for certain."
Bonnie's tears showed though she smiled in happy sadness, "Ash is like a brother to me too; I've said this over and over again to make it feel more real, and I can't just not try. I cannot let him die if I could help save his life. I won't let him go like that; I refuse to just as any of the rest of us would refuse."
She curled her hands, "It was hard for me to watch when he chose to let pokemon he cared for go their own way; to choose a path that would take them away from him as their trainer. I didn't understand then why he would allow that, but now I do.
Pokemon may help us; but they still are a part of a larger system in the world. They still have connections to it that came before the trainer, and we have to learn to understand and to respect them."
Bonnie's eyes saddened, "It is why he allowed Greninja to go and to do this job. It is why he allowed Goodra to remain in the wetlands to protect it when it felt it needed to stay there."
She then released the tension in her hand, "And just as he let them choose their path; he chose his. He chose to continue to fight. He chose this while knowing his body was a mess and that he likely should not be anywhere near a battleground. He chose both, selfishly and selflessly, to be what stood before Lysandre and the world."
Lance was quiet as he listened to this small girl and her thoughts to all this; her speech pattern was very adult-like now, though he knew she could be more her age at any appropriate other time. He knew this was a part of Bonnie; a part of her from how she had grown up beside a brother who was considered a genius and took some traits from him to herself in her own way.
Yet he was still stunned to the level of depth to her thoughts.
"So now that he cannot choose; he left that ability; unconsciously and without really knowing it, to all those he trusted around him to help. We should not and cannot abandon him; I feel that if we do this...we will come to regret that decision though I do not understand why."
Lance knelt down to her and eyed her softly but so much emotion was masked in those experienced red eyes; experiences that held pain for his failure to do more and to have allowed Ash to suffer and bear his burdens alone.
"Thank you for what you are doing for us, Bonnie. There is no amount of gratitude we can convey; even if this does not work the way we hope it will. Know that I believe in you Bonnie; you are the youngest one of us here, and yet; there is a strength to you that has remained while the rest of are faltering."
She looked to him and saw the honesty to his eyes that made her feel better about this.
"Ash and all of us believe in you; we trust you, and have faith in you. No matter what happens here today...we will always be here for one another. Ash would be disappointed in me if I let you all get hurt because he is not here to help you all or any of his other friends. I have been a source of failure and disappointment to him for too long. It must end; I cannot let this continue on like this."

FanficFirstly, this is my very first attempt at a Pokemon story, so constructive criticism is welcome. Secondly, this story starts right after the events of the Lumiose Conference and the Battle with Team Flare, but from here on out it is going to be cons...
