**next chapter will possibly be a little back story on why Keith and Lance are deaf

Keith squeezed Shiro's hand, and then stood, I should be getting home.

Both other boys nodded.

Once Keith had left, Lance awkwardly tried to start conversation with the older boy.

"So," Lance spoke. He wasn't as insecure about his pronunciation as he had been before, but he always signs when he speaks just in case he makes a mistake. "When did you meet Keith?"

Shiro thought for a minute with a faint smile, "When he was about twelve. I transfered to his school for about a week, then left. Then, we ended up in the same neighborhood." As Shiro spoke, he translated what he could, but relied mostly on the way his lips moved when pronouncing each syllable knowing he probably didn't translate enough for Lance to understand.

Lance nodded, "I get why you guys are so close. Don't mind me asking, but since you and I are cool, how can I..."

Shiro didn't sign this time, "Soften him up to you?"

Lance furrowed his eyebrows at first, but then nodded, "Yes, that." He smiled, laughing awkwardly.
