Keith huffed as the maid was finishing his hair. She slicked it down and made it look... fancy. Keith nearly puked in his mouth.
"Why do I have to be there?" he complained.
"You're eighteen, my Prince, it's time you find a notable suitor," his maid replied.
"But I don't want to marry a single woman or man," Keith explained.
The maid sighed, "I know, Prince Keith, but once you do you can become King!"
Keith nodded, "I know... And the first thing I'm gonna do is abolish this d*mn castle and make all income classes equal."
The maid smiled, "That sounds intriguing! But would it help?"
Keith shrugged, "We're the richest kingdom, it'll do something."
- Time Skip -
Keith shouldered his robe, and put his head down. Now or... forever.
He walked up to the grand door that opens to the busy ballroom. No doubt, many suitors were waiting for him. Many women that he'd turn down immediately (hopefully they won't hate him), and men who just wouldn't feel right being with for eternity until he got to know them first. How is he supposed to choose a stranger to marry? Why so cruel, not even an arranged marriage?
"If Mother was here, she'd give me some actually helpful advice..." Keith mumbled. He clenched his jaw as he tried to remember his mother's face, but closed his eyes and shook his head. Get your head in the game, Kogane.
Keith opened the ballroom door.
This was the prologue/chapter one of the royal/prince and bodyguard au! I hope you enjoyed :) and don't worry, though the next chapter will probably be mainly Klance, this is STILL a Shklance story and Shiro is making his way through!!
