they were five days in and nine was unexpectedly paying more attention to chen than he ever thought he would. it's like they finally connected somehow. and nine isn't trying to be rude anymore, it's like he's letting it go a little bit by every hour they spend together.
chen got to see nine laugh at his jokes more than 1 time!!
everyone was downstairs but someone was missing, nine was missing.
"where's nine?" chen asked earth who was watching the other guys playing games.
"heard he was going up to the roof" he said smiling
"make a move on him" earth laughed
"shhhh!"
chen went up to the roof and he indeed was sitting there. or he was laying on the roof watching the dark sky . today was full moon day . it was shining so bright and big around all the small stars.
beautiful.
"it's beautiful isn't it" chen said approaching. he later down next to nine who didn't move a bit .
"it is" he replied.
after quiet while of staring at the moon chen thought of what earth said to him
"make a move on him"
is it too early to do that? what if he doesn't like him AT ALL?? these questions were spinning around in chen's head.
he has been liking him since day 1. his personality just got attached to chen . not a thing you can explain clearly it just happened. love is like that, it happens without any predictions.
it comes unexpected, that's what makes it so special.
"remember what we talked about when we started texting?" it's out, he started it, there's no backing out now
go hard or go home, isn't it like that?
"about the moon thing?"
"yeah i remember" he said looking at the sky.
"tell me"
nine took a breath before starting. the moon is something nine likes, you can't really explain it but he feels a connection with it.
"you asked me where i wanted to fly if i was a bird," nine chuckled.
"and i said i wanted to fly to the moon but you said that was boring and that the earth was much cooler"
he said remembering every word that was being said in the conversation.
it didn't only have with good memory to do, it also has to do with wanting to remember it.
chen smiled.
he remembered every detail.
"but, being the smart person i am i totally won it because, the earth cannot survive without the moon because it's so important to the earth"
"without the moon what even is earth? it completes it" nine really went deep with the words .
chen was about to say something but nine did it before him so his sentence he's been waiting to say for so long has to say a bit more.
"remember you said you were going to prove that the moon also needed the earth as much as the moon needs the earth? well i'm waiting for it"
nine said letting out a small chuckle.
"p'.."
nine turned his head to finally look chen in the eyes.
"you are my moon" he said

nines eyes were locked looking at chen's eyes not wanting to believe what he heard.
is he confessing??!
what was he supposed to think about this? he's been feeling weird around him lately but chen hasn't given him any time to think about this whole thing.
"w....what"
"p' you are my moon. i cant think the thought of living without you because you complete me. i'm happy with you"

chen smiled softly but deep inside was nervous as he could ever be.
there is something that lights up everytime nine hangs out with chen, it's impossible to express the feeling. but maybe what he is feeling is love ? however he didn't think chen would confess this soon. obviously nine knew chen had some kind of interest in him because his actions were crystal clear.
"i-"
"what are y'all doing up here alone come down!!" dome interrupted. for nine this was a big relief . he got up and ran down as fast as he could hiding his red face.
"my heart totally did not just skip a beat right then ?!!" nine held his cheeks as he mumbled.
"you good?" dome asked
"perfect!" he lied
it was EVERYTHING but perfect
