5. || Dauren ||

(Dani and Lauren are twins and they are 13)
DANI'S POV
sometimes i feel, trapped, ya' know.
when you feel trapped in a different world, a different time.
that's how i feel.
a distant relative of us Michelle Travers, died at 17, when the boy she loved got sent away and she had to marry a 40 year old man. then she killed herself but her body was never found. creepy. i got her old clothes and letters, Lauren finds them weird, Lauren likes ballet more, i like history, the past. so now i've been having these weird dreams, about Clara and the weirdest thing is i'm crushing on the boy she was in love with, or maybe it's not the boy, i don't know. his name is Finch. i dream about them all the time, also in the day. no one cares about me anyway.
they all care about Lauren. i'm second best to my perfect twin, with my "best friend" Elli and with a friend of mine Alfie, who's crushing on her and with my family. When Lauren is busy Elli hangs out with me and when Alfie wanted to kiss Lauren under mistletoe at christmas and she refused, he asked me.
typical. Lauren shines at everything, i'm always in her shadow.
when i did ballet she always got lead roles and i got little side parts, when people are talking to me they see Lauren and rush over to her. we always wear the same outfits for Halloween, they look bad on me but perfect on Lauren. we used to know everything about eachother, but that changed.
anyway, back to the point.
Mrs. Lee says i'm a bit psychic, that i can see into the past or something and i never believed that 'till now. is Michelle trying to send me a message? i do-
"DANI!!! COME DOWN!!" Christina shouts from downstairs.
i walk downstairs.
"DANI! so as were turning 13 on valentines day and then we will be teens!! so let's do a valentines party!!" Lauren says excitedly.
i don't want this, at all.
"can it be.... not Valentine?" Lauren frowns.
"like.... Vintage" i ask carefully
"no! not a vintage party. no way!" Lauren says.
"it can be Vintage Valentine!" Mum says.
"YESS!!" Lauren sqeals.
no.
before i can protest Lauren is already phoning and texting everyone and planning everything.
i get a text from Alfie:
meet me at the beach NOW!
i sighed.
"I'M GOING TO THE BEACH!!" i yell as i close the door
i run to the beach and see Alfie.
"hey Dani" he says.
"hi" i wisper
"sooo... Vintage Valentine party?"
"yeah! it's gonna be fun" i say and put on a fake smile.
"great! so do you have tips for... Lauren?" he asks.
"i say just go to her and ask her out, but Elli is also keen on a boyfriend and your on her list.." i say.
"so just go up to her and ask her out??" Alfie asks excitedly, completely ignoring the second part i said.
"yep, go for it." i say.
"ok! Thanks Dani, your the best! bye!" he says and runs of
"bye..." i say softly.
when he's out of sight i let a few tears drop, i'm not the best, i'm second best.... for everyone.
i go home slowly and wipe away the tears, ready to put on a smile.

"LAUREN!!"
"Lauren! over here!"
"hey Lauren!"
Lauren, Lauren, Lauren, it always is.
i decided to wear Michelle Travers green dress, i love it!
"hey Dani, i'm going to ask Lauren out now!" Alfie said and ran off. i didn't pay attention, my head was hurting and it was leading me to the door.
i went outside and kept walking, i couldn't stop, i walked to the woods, deep, deep into the forest. i felt like i was drowning then i fell down, i felt it snowing, half burying me as i knocked unconscious.
ALFIE'S POV
"Lauren" i ask shyly, she looked up.
"hi Alfie" she said looking annoyed
"Laur, do you wanna go, euhm out?" i ask awkwardly.
"like, on a date??" she asks, raising an eyebrow.
"yes....."
"no, go to Dani or something" she says, my head drops.
"Alfie, i didn't mean it like that, i just don't..... love you" she says.
"i understand, but, where is Dani?" i ask looking around.
she looks around to, she isn't here. me and Lauren look everywhere and as soon as we know she definatly missing, everyone panicks.
LAUREN'S POV
i know where Dani is!
i can feel it, somethings wrong...
i look at the door and my feet seem to have an own will, they also know where Dani is, if that makes sense.
the woods? why the woods?
know i'm running and i see a girl lying down, snow nearly burying her.... IT'S DANI!!!
i run to her and get the snow of her, panicking as she doesn't wake up.
i quickly phone mum....
DANI'S POV
i see light a-and dark figures, i faintly hear Lolo's voice.
"i-i love y-you Dani, please wake up" her voice cracking.
i want to grab her hand, tell her i love her to.
but it doesn't work, i soon see.... angels?!
no! i'm not going to die! no! i need my Lolobean.
please.....
LAUREN'S POV
Dani's still not awake, she was out in the cold for a long time and her lungs were damaged.
"Dani, you are beautiful, w-we need you, i can't live without y-you, i-i love y-you Dani, please wake up" my voice cracking.
i start sobbing, then her heart monitor stops.
"please....." i faintly hear what sounds like Dani's voice.
