The Waiting Game

[Mom's POV]

"Explain the situation before this tragedy happened." Batman asked firmly like he usually speaks.

"She was talking-to someone, someone called Shadow in thin air. She was singing Unbreakable before she mumbled the word 'sorry' and stabbed herself in the stomach using her dagger. Her intentions were to end her life." 

"I'm bringing her back home, home to where she grew up. Not in the cave or out in the forest. She suffered enough from a young age, I'm not risking herself overexerting herself anymore. once she wake up." 

Beep.. Beep.. Beep.. Beep

The heart monitor's sound filled the room, with the ventilator making her chest rise up and down. She started convulsing, heart monitor going off the charts.

She flatlined for 20 seconds before regaining a stable rhythm on the heart monitor. 

"Keep me updated." Batman said leaving the room.

[Light's POV]

I said "sorry" before moving on to stabbing myself literally trying to leave my unwanted and worthless life. 

The pain was amazing after everything my eyes closed shut, appearing to turn to darkness before I was met with light surrounding me. It was beautiful, peaceful not a hint of shadow around me. The scene unfolded to me running in my wolf form, running in the green forest birds chirping and everything is perfect. 

I kept running before I saw some familiar colours and faces. Zynx and Cloud came running to me. 

"Finally reunited." 

"We watched from above, but saddened that the pack and my own father disowned you even after everything you have done." Zynx said 

"I've missed you lil sis." Cloud snuggled on to me. "But you don't belong here just yet." 

"But why? Everyone hates me, I'm just a waste of space to them." tears escaping my eyes.

"I know that you feel unwanted but look down, sweetheart. Everyone is waiting for you to get back. You have a second chance in life. Use it don't waste it." Cloud assures me.

"We will both meet you back soon, just remember that you are never alone." Zynx said before they both fade away. 

"No...Come.. Back.." I cried. I knew that I have to restart again from the very start, a fresh start. 

'You are never alone' The words kept repeating around my head. 

I slowly woke up, my eyes opening with a white and grey coloured above me. The same smell, I must be in the same medical bay they kept me in. I looked to my left seeing my mom sleeping with her left hand on my hand. 

I sighed, which caused my gag reflexes to activate. Meaning choking or suffocating on the tube stuck in my throat. This caused Mom to jolt awake, and starts removing the tube. 

"Take a deep breath, sweetie." Which I did. 

She replaced the tube with a oxygen mask as my oxygen levels were still low to the danger zone, but slowly increasing which was good. 

"What happened..? I remember trying to.. -" I cut of the sentence before I finished the sentence of killing myself. 

"You stabbed yourself." My mom said looking straight to my eyes. 

I looked down avoiding eye contact. Mom lifted my chin up so I will be looking at her. 

"Why?" She asked.

"I don't belong in this world, I just want to let go. Shadow was right. I'm not good enough, I should've listened." Then I feel mom hugging me.

"You have to remember that you are never alone. It doesn't matter how far we are apart I will always come searching for you." Mom said. 

I sobbed on her shoulder. 

"Careful you don't want to pull your IV line out." She softly chuckled softly only from to hear. 

"What now?" 

"We go home.. I'm letting you decide if you want to continue hero work or not." 

I glared up and smiled, appreciating that I am given a chance to want to do it or now rather then being forced. "Can I have my dagger back?" I said glancing at the other side of the room. 

"No." 

"Why not?" 

"Not having the chance of you harming yourself again." She said looking at my self-harm scars.

"Oh.." 

"Just remember that you are never alone, my young wolf." She cooed.

Mom said the exact same words that Zynx and Cloud did. I'm always surrounded with support no matter where I am. I took the oxygen mask off, but was swiftly placed back on by no other then mom. 

"It's uncomfortable." 

"It's for your own good." She said before the door slammed open revealing Batman and Wonder Woman at the door. 

Seriously bat talk again, can this life get any worse?! Yes indeed it can, you did what I said.I shall grant you peace and quiet for the next week .   Finally peace and quiet..

"You're awake good.." Batman said. 

I questioned. "Why is Wonder Woman here?" 

"Back up." 

"Back up plan.. seriously they think I can't get captured while stuck to IV line and a huge bat blocking my way." I muttered only for mom can hear. Nudging me with the 'don't push your luck stare.' 

Wonder Woman kept staring at me like she was about to kill but say otherwise. "The league has voted to give you second chance if you would like to recover and rehabilitation from these events you had to go through, or the second choice you go to a mental asylum." 

My heart stopped for a brief second when she said 'mental asylum'. They think I'm that crazy, golly gosh seriously.  A freaking mental asylum, what is wrong with people these days, wait they aren't 'normal' humans there superheroes they think they can just place a person where they think it's right. I scoffed at. But returned to reality.

"Light? Light? LIGHT?! BLU!" Wonder Woman asked. 

That name 'BLU' made me snapped. "Don't ever say that word ever again." I pointed a knife at her with pure muscle memory. 

"Don't raise your knife at me, young lady." 

I realised what I just did, my hand started shaking dropping the knife on the bed. Batman swiftly retrieved it. 

"I.. I- I'm so..sorry... It just happened." What is wrong with me?! First I tried to kill myself out of the blue next I'm threatening Wonder Woman. I shared off the thought. 

"What's your decision?" 

"The first one.." Of course I chose the first one I ain't going to mental asylum, I don't want to turn into a Joker V2.

I don't know If I should continue or not. But Imma stop blabbing on and on as I probably have non-existent fans but for those who're or even read this weird messed up book. Good on ya! and Thanks :3 I'll keep still keep on updating but it will be slow progress.
