Prologue part 2

Six years later

Girl: Papa! Papa! Hurry up! I can see the next town from here.

Silva: Zelphi, it's great that you're excited, but slow down.

Zelphi: Kay!!!

I am Zelphi and I travel around the country with my papa while he exterminate bad demons. But my papa never let's me come with him so he always drops me off at the cathedral. I am never bored there because I help around the cathedral. There were many injured people there and that's where I can help. When I first learn how to sing, there was a crown like halo that appeared on top of my head that shimmers glowing light to heal the wounded. My papa says it's because I'm an angel and that's the reason why I have this power. I don't have many friends because I move from place to place all the time. Besides, my papa tells me to never trust anyone because they will betray you in the end. I don't want to cause trouble to my papa so I always listen to him and never complain. But sometimes I get lonely when I look at other kids and their family. They have a mom, dad, little brother, and sister, and even big ones too. This made me wonder about my family so one night I asked my papa.

Zelphi: Papa, why don't I have a mama, did she abandon me?

My papa sighs then look up at the sky.

Silva: It's not that she abandon you, rather she would give anything in the world to be with you.

Zelphi: Then where is my mama?

Silva: Your mother is here even when you don't know it.

Zelphi: Really? Where is she?

Silva got up and pointed at my heart

Silva: In here, your mother is always close to you so she can protect you, that just mean that she loves you.

My face got red and I gave papa a very big smile.

Silva: You should always smile like that, that way your parents won't be so worry.

Zelphi: Kay!!! (but why did papa say my parents?)

The next day, I woke up early to get some fresh water from the well. Along the way a stranger came up to me.

Stranger: Little girl, are you lost?

Zelphi: Not at all sir, I'm headed to the well.

Stranger: I know one nearby, follow me.

Zelphi: Umm...it's fine, there one right along this path.

I mustn't go with him because papa says to never follow strangers. I then walked away. Suddenly the stranger grabbed my arm

Stranger: It's fine, I insist!

Zelphi: No! let me go!

I break free and start running. But the stranger caught up in no time and grabbed my arm with great force. When I turned around, the stranger turned into a demon. He stared at me with bloodshot eyes.

Zelphi: Ahh!!! Papa help!!!

I yelled as loud as I can, just then I felt someone snatch me away from the stranger and then, slash! The stranger's head fell and blood spilled out. I frozed and held onto papa tightly.

Zelphi: Papa...why did you kill him?

Silva: Zelphi...if I didn't, he would just kill you.

Zelphi: But you just robbed someone's life, that man will never get up again.

I'm so scared, I want to cry, after all, this is the first time I saw a man killed. Papa sat on the ground and held me tightly.

Silva: It had to be done, I took that man's life because I wanted to protect you. If I didn't fight back, and he were to kill me,th-.

Zelphi: Papa! Don't say any more!

Tears flow down like droplets of water.

Zelphi: Augh....papa,please don't leave me...if you were gone-.

I started crying so hard that I couldn't form my words correctly. My papa stroked my hair

Silva: Idiot! It would take a lot more to kill me, so don't worry.

Zelphi: Sniff...really.

Silva: I'm sure.

With that, me and papa went to get water from the well together.
