Chapter Sixteen

Orion exhaled "Eliza, it's really sweet of you to feel that way about me, but, I'm going to say no"

Everyone gasped, did he really just turn out someone in front of everyone? Eliza lifted her head up and shouted "Who are you even going to take anyway? If it isn't me who else would you even take that fits the role of a future princess?"

Orion sighed "that's complicated"

Eliza froze as her eyes darted down to Orion's hand wrapped around Troy's, her eyes widen and takes a couple steps back, nearly running into two other people who were watching.

"You're with him?"

"No no it's not what it looks like" he cleared up "Troy is worried about crowds so he grabbed my hand for support"

"Why would he bring the Isle kid as his date anyway, like that's a big red flag if I ever saw one" a random student laughed "what a joke honestly"

"Isle?" She questioned, breaking out into a fit of laugher "oh Troy's too nice to be from the isle"

"Ha, yea" Troy said nervously "Orion can we go?"

"Sure" Orion nodded as both of them left the dance floor, still hand in hand. Making their way back to the table.

"You know he's actually from the isle right? Same with three other kids, their on an exchange thing ,but everyone thinks the royal family are crazy for bringing them over" the student told Eliza "you know judging by their parent's"

"What to you mean?" She raised her eyebrows, her eyes glanced over to Troy and Orion, who were at their table

"You'll see, I would try to get Orion away from Troy if I was you" the student winked before disappearing into the crowd. The DJ started to play music again and everyone resumed dancing.

Eliza just nodded and started walking towards her table, was the student right about Troy being from the isle and being a threat of some kind to Orion? The Prince would never lie to her about something like that. Why would he feel the need to lie to her at all? When she reached her tabled, she sat down in the chair next to Orion and Melia. She saw how much Orion and Troy we're getting along, acting like old friends when they've only known each other for not even a week. The Prince wasn't even paying attention to Melia, who was quietly sitting on her phone.

"So" she spoke "do you have any other plans for your party Orion?"

Orion seemed to missed her questioned, she sighed and asked again.

"Hm?" He turned to face her "oh, honestly, I don't much what's happening myself, I still have to do rehearsal's for the actual reveal.

"Reveal?" Troy questioned "for what"

"To reveal my date to the world, aka the most talked about subject" he said "but that's not till later"

"It's a big deal Orion, it's needs to be perfect when you show the world your future queen!" Eliza Gleamed "so you wont even tell your friends who it is?"

"Um"

"Please Eliza, you do not need to pressure him, if he wants to keep his date secret he can" Troy informed

"Too bad I can't just, take a friend" Orion cooled glancing over at Troy "that'll be a lot better"

Eliza froze, the way Orion looked at Troy, something in her burned

"Why the heck would you bring an isle kid with you anyway?, their all bad guys"

Troy gasped, did someone tell her? "I'm not evil"

"Really? The only people on that isle are prisoners and those wizards who tried to destroy our kingdom all those years ago, if you were from here you know that"

"I"

"Eliza" Orion groaned "you shouldn't be picking a fight with him-"

"And you shouldn't be hanging out with a isle kid, he could be a child criminal, how else would he have been there in the first place! Or worst, he could be working with that wizards and collecting information for them to send back and attack"

"Okay I'm leaving" Troy stood up, after what happened with Evie and Lance, he didn't want to go through that again.

"Please stay" Orion pleaded, grabbing onto Troy's hand "I want you to stay with me"

"Orion!" Eliza called out "let him go"

"No!"he yelled back "he's not a criminal, some kids are born on the isle, forced to live their life for the crimes their parents did, you don't know how many times I've told people these kids are not like their parents"

Troy just exhaled, he could feel Orion pull him closer and closer to him, till he was nearly in the Princes arms. "Orion, please, just let me go"

"No, one day I'll show everyone you are not like your father, you have not a evil part in your body" he exclaimed "Troy, stay"

But that wasn't true, Troy wasn't all good, none of them were, at this very moment he's trying to seduce Orion to get to the crown and take over, but all Troy's been doing is making himself fall for the Prince himself, which is not on the the plan.

"I can't"

"Please Troy, I don't want you to run away anyway"

"Orion please, let me leave!"  Troy's eyes flickered,  he pauses and looks up at Orion "I-l"

"Your eyes" he wondered "we should go"

"What?" Eliza exclaimed "you can't just pop up and leave"

"Oh he can" Melia snickered "have fun with the media"

Orion looked Troy in the eyes as he started to walk away, Troy could feel himself being pulled away from the table to a back door that one one was guarding. The Prince took a deep breath in and worked his way around the people, making sure he was still holding on to the other male. When they got to the door, they bolted out into a forest area.

"You didn't have to come with me Orion, you should have stayed and enjoyed the party" Troy cooled "you should go back"

"No Troy, I came out cause I want to be with you, your eyes flickered for a second back there, are you alright?"

"Oh no no, please, you didn't see a thing, it'll be best if you leave Orion"

"But Troy"

"Orion please, you're not safe around me, when my eyes flickers it's cause-"

Before he could finish he felt the Prince pull him into his arms, hugging him tightly "hey it's okay, I know you won't hurt me"

"Orion-"

"Shh" he slowly pulled him down to the forest floor till both of them were sitting "you don't need to worry about anything my Troy"

"I" he froze, his eyes flickered red, the forest around them lit up in flames. Orion's eyes widen gripping Troy closer to him as the fire burned around them.

What did Troy even do?

He started to sob into Orion's chest, he's done nothing like this before, and he has no clue how to put it out, all they could do is wait till someone to notice and alert the school to the fire and have the fire put out and them saved.  What would Orion think of him after this?

Then something happened. Troy opened his eyes, it felt like a rush of water hit him, he looked up to Orion, who had the exact same shocked expression of his face. All around them, the fire was being put out by this mystery water that came out of no where, but this water didn't seem normal, it was like it was being controlled but someone. But the only person who could do that was the water element wizard who went missing.
