I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the sunlight shining brightly into my eyes and proceeded to groan.
In retrospect to most people, this was not a good morning.
Who wants to wake up to such ridiculous stuff which only hinder your sleep?
The door to my room opened and soon enough, a warm hand ran through my hair giving me a loving feeling.
"Sakura, why don't you wake up baby?" A woman's voice murmured softly.
Sakura?
"Mmmm." I mumbled incoherent sentences, hoping they'd leave me.
The woman chuckled and she softly kissed my forehead.
I blinked my eyes open to see a woman with a woman with dark blonde hair and green eyes smiling at me before she cooed.
"Ah, you look so adorable my baby girl!"
"Sure she does! She got my genes after all." A man spoke with a haughty tone and I realized that these people aren't my parents.
In fact, I'm pretty sure my parents were taking a vacation somewhere in Australia.
Unless they suddenly underwent a plastic surgery to fuck with me and somehow made me small enough to fit in a bundle of warm clothes...
I'm a damn baby.
Struggling to get out of these tightly bound clothes, I wiggled and the man sniffled.
"I can't believe we made her together. She's just so perfect."
Perfect?
Me?
I wanted to snort.
As I tried to observe more of my surroundings, my mouth opened up to release an involuntary yawn and my eyes started blinking dangerously.
But, I just woke up?
"She's going to sleep already?! Man, we should get her some caffeine." The man complained and the woman smacked him.
Hard.
"She's only a month old! Give her a break, anata."
And this is how my first day in this odd world passed by.
.-.-.-.-.
Over time, I'd come to realize that I in fact had been turned into a one month old baby and it wasn't a messed up prank.
On top of that, I couldn't figure out for the love of my life exactly where I was. My eyes were too weak to stay open for long and I spent about half the day sleeping away. As a small baby, I knew that I needed my nutrients and sleep but honestly, it was getting tiresome.
The worst part was, I didn't know if I was a girl or a boy.
The name Sakura was feminine enough to tell me as it is, however I just wanted to make sure that I was a girl, you know?
Being tightly bound in a small blanket didn't help me at the least and even though I was thankful to this odd couple who was raising me, I missed my work and friends.
My real family.
Just what happened?
And who was I?
