"Ah sorry guys.. I shouldn't have blurted that out. I mean, you're kids."

"You're a kid too." Shino said.

"But I'm much more mature."

The adults paused their conversation, looking at the kids talking to each other with grave, worried looks on their faces. A few of them (Hinata, Ino and Choji) were on the verge of tears as Sakura frantically tried to comfort them, mentally cursing at herself.

She was not supposed to go all serious on them. They probably didn't have any choice in their livelihood anyways, being clan kids.

"What do you think they're talking about?" A curious, yet stern faced Hyuga asked the group. All of them were here for diplomatic purposes only. Including Uchiha Fugaku who'd be anywhere but here.

Mentally, he grumbled about how Mikoto nagged him to take Sasuke to the party saying that they needed to connect more. He was the clan leader of the most prestigious clan in Konoha and he was stuck baby sitting his youngest when he could be training him instead.

What a waste of time.

"Hm, looks like Sakura finally got fed up with their childish thinking." Shikaku chuckled slightly. 

"Sakura? That pink haired civilian? What does she have to do with this?" Inoichi Yamanaka immediately began his psychological analysis. He'd heard about Sakura from Ino and his wife many times, however he failed to meet her because he was busy with patients and clan politics.

"You'll see." Shikaku merely smiled to himself.

As Sakura finally calmed down the kids, she turned to Sasuke and grabbed his shoulders. "You wanted to play something right? Lets play ninja then!" 

"It really isn't the best idea to play ninja now, Sakura." Shikamaru said, stretching his arms.

"No, I want to play it!"

"So do I!"

A chorus of agreements rang out in the field and Sakura shot her friend a smug look as he shook his head. "Do whatever you want, troublesome woman."

"Fine, lets form the teams then."

"But there are seven of us!" Ino pouted as she hugged her pink haired friend. "I wanna be with Sakura!"

"I-I'll b-be the j-joker." Hinata spoke shyly, her soft voice barely reaching Kiba who was standing next to her.

Sakura frowned. "You sure Hinata? I could be the joker if you want." 

Hinata stared at Sakura, her pale lavender eyes widening slightly. No one had asked for her opinion before. She had to do whatever others told her to. Keeping quiet, she looked down and the other girl blinked.

That's some really low confidence...

"W-whatever you g-guys want." She murmured after a whole minute of silence as her face turned red.

"Lets do boys versus girls!" Kiba exclaimed after thinking. Sasuke nodded enthusiastically like a bobble head.

"Everyone's okay with that?" Choji asked the girls as they nodded.

"Sakura and I will beat your butts!" Ino exclaimed waving her fist at the boys. 

"And Hinata as well." Hinata let out a startled noise at being mentioned before she nodded and her entire face turned red like a tomato.
