「ろく」(roku) - Not a Prodigy

Hey~

Here's a recap..

Previously: Sakura was at Shikamaru's 4th Birthday party and they decided to play the third level of Ninja. Girls vs Boys are the teams and they are sitting on a tree branch. Sakura is distracted with her odd feelings of protectiveness for Ino and Sasuke especially. She knows she has to meet 'Kaka' desperately along with another person. While Sakura is distracted, Shikamaru nods towards Shino who releases his insects on the girls. 

A swarming buzz of insects surrounded the girls and Ino shrieked loudly, as she tried to swat them away. Hot tears began escaping her blue eyes as a terrified look entered her face. Her blonde hair was sticking to her face as she yelled, "OH MY GOD INSECTS!"

Hinata began to shift uncomfortably on the tree, trying to hold on to Ino's hand and calm her down, "In-"

"HELP!"

Sakura watched with wide eyes as Ino grabbed on to Hinata's hands frantically dragging the Hyuuga down with her in slow motion down the tree. Her pale hand stretched out and without any thoughts Sakura leaped off her seat and grabbed on to Hinata's ankles.

She closed her eyes, embracing the impact.

Then the feeling came back stronger than before..

With that warm feeling erupting inside her ---

Choji ran frantically towards the house, yelling for the parents.

The adults stepped out of the meeting room and on to the back yard, freezing as they saw a bunch of four year old children holding each other by the hand or ankle as Sakura stood upside down on the tree branch, her eyes closed tightly. She grabbed on to Hinata's ankle tightly.

The boys were panicking, as Kiba hovered beneath the girls, determined to catch one of them from getting hurt. "I'll catch you guys!" 

"Sakura! Give me your hand." Sasuke reached for the pinkette as he wobbled carefully on the tree branch. 

"Wait." Shikaku narrowed his eyes, stopping the adults from moving.

"Our children are in danger, Shikaku!" Ino's mother tried pushing past as she was held back by Yoshino.

"Calm down. Just look at them now. They are more than capable for saving themselves. And if anything bad will happen, Uchiha-san will be the first person there within an instant."

Fugaku stared ahead stonily, not bothering to give an answer. However, no one could deny that they saw slight interest glimmer in his eyes.

Sakura opened her eyes at the lack of impact. The world was upside down and she gulped harshly at the heavy feeling in her head.

What the fuck?

"Sakura.." Shikamaru silently stared at his friend holding on with all her might, now using both hands.

"Try walking on the branch."

"ARE YOU INSANE?!" Sakura screeched. She was normally a very composed person however, standing upside down with no idea on how you did it while holding on to two kids tended to do that to you sometimes.

"Just trust me. Take a step or else you're never getting down."

Sakura closed her eyes as the blood rushed to her head and she felt dizziness take over. She was going to be sick. Sasuke reached out for her, an innocent and scared look in his eyes.
