Please Don't Leave Me

Chapter 2

Jason's POV

She got stabbed. Not once, but twice. TWICE!!! The giant did it with two Impearial Gold blades and they jutted out in the front, where I could see them. When i first saw them it took me a minute to process what had just happened. Then I went hystarical. I picked her up after the giant pulled them out of her back and she fell into my arms mummbleing the words "Sorry" over and over again. "Why are you saying sorry to me, Pipes? It's my fault, I wasn't paying attention. It's my fault."

Then Leo came running over, yelling that we had won and how he couldn't believe it. I had my back to him with Piper in my arms bridal-style,but not happily. He saw her and his face went paler than Nico's (No offence Nico) and he fell to his knees and starting harder than I had, I mean he is somewhat closer to her than I am. I think. But he also started yelling about how I was so dead if I had done this. After we stared to calm down, the worst possible thing that could have happened next happened (other than Piper dying). Hazel and Frank started running over, with Percy and Annabeth tagging along. Hazel, Frank and Annabeth looked as happy as they could ever have been, still yelling about how happy that they were that we had won.

But Percy was the only one who looked as bad as Leo and i probably looked. He had seen Piper. When I turned around, Percy just nodded, like I had confirmed his suspicion. Annabeth was the first one who saw after Percy and she pointed for Hazel to see and Hazel showed Frank. But we were missing someone and Piper was dying so we couldn't celebrate quite yet. Then he came with his face as pale as a piece of paper. Nico. "Guys!" He had a pained look on his face. "Someone is dying. I can fe-" He saw Piper. "El it." Piper lifted her finger and smiled, sort of. She was able to squeeze out a "That would be me," and went back to her normal position. "Okay guys.. We need to get her to Camp." So we ran to camp. When we got there, campers surrounded us and I just blocked them out. "PIPER!!! PIPER YOU CAN'T DIE ON ME!! I-WE NEED YOU!!" But it didn't work. Her eyes closed and Nico came, mumbled something in her ear, kissed her on the forehead and disappeared with Piper's body. "NOOOOO. NICO!! WHERE DID YOU GO!!" I couldn't take it. She was gone! Gone! Just gone with a puff of smoke. Annabeth came over to me and rubbed my back. "It's okay, Jason. Do you want to go talk about it?"

"NO!" I snapped and threw her hand off of my back.

"Come on, dude," Leo tried and I just let go. I literally used my anger and depression to keep myself going as Leo walked me to my cabin and sat down with me. "So. Are you okay?" I understand his efforts, but it hurts too much for me to talk about it.  "Can I just have some time to myself, Leo?"

"Sure, if that's what you want."

~~~~~SIX HOURS LATER~~~~~~~

At dinner that night, I'm not hungry. At all, but Leo makes me eat. I just go to my cabin after and throw up my pizza. I try to forget what happened but the image just won't leave my mind. It's too much of an important part in my life to forget. But not a happy one. I just wish I could take it back. I wish it could have been me. Please come back Piper.. Please. But I know it won't work. Death is a much stronger force than I can counter.  I wonder if she gets my messages when I try so hard to send them to her. Just as I'm about to go to sleep, I hear a rustling in the corner of my cabin. And an unfamiliar voice says "Jason. Do you want your girlfriend back?" I wonder how she knows about Piper, it happened in the morning but still.. That and.... wait... How did she get into my cabin in the first place?? "Well follow me. I have a plan....But there's a catch." Then an evil laugh.
