"Another year, another step closer to college." Riker thought as he got up by his alarm clock. He groaned as he rubbed his eyes, wanting to go back to sleep. He was transferred to another school, and was a bit nervous. All he could do was accept, and besides he didn't want to disappoint his parents.
Riker got up and went to the bathroom to wash up. He brushed his teeth and washed his face, still having a lot of anxiety on his shoulders.
"I hope things don't end up like last year." Riker thought to himself, as he looked at his arms in disappointment. They had a bunch of scars and bruises. Things for him was awful last year and he didn't want to go through it again.
Riker got out of the restroom and went back to his bedroom. He closed his door and then changed into his school uniform. (got informed by his parents)
He went out of the hallway, and went into the kitchen to find something to eat. He decided to have some cereal, so he grabbed the cereal box and the milk and made a small bowl of cereal.
After he got done with the cereal, he went to his parents door and knocked on it. His mom said "Come in!" and he poked his head out into the room.
"Bye mom and dad, I'm leaving for school!" Riker said joyfully.
"Hope you have a good first day at school!" his mom said.
Riker closed the door and grabbed his keys and jacket. He then looked back at his house one more time before he had to leave. He then left the house and locked the door behind him. He took out a slip of paper, and looked at it. He started walking to the area that his bus stop was.
After the bus ride to school, Riker finally arrived at his new school. It was much bigger than his old school and less violent, judging by the school's looks. Riker looked around and saw that everyone dressed appropriately.
As time passed, Riker got through his first two periods, he still had two more to go. It was the third period of the day, and Riker had sat down in a seat in the corner. He saw other people talking and laughing while entering the classroom.
Some time passed, (around 10 minutes) a tall turtle enters the room with a black jacket and some ripped jeans. He wore some red shoes with a red backpack on his back. He also had some pink cool looking glasses.
Riker noticed him as soon as he entered the classroom. It was hard not to notice him actually, and Riker felt that his face was getting a bit warm when he looked at him. Riker thought it was weird, so he put his head back down.
The two students start having conversations and start opening up to each other. When the bell rung, they went their separate ways and went to their next classes. Riker's next class is College Prep and so he went to class and got through it easily. His last period was World History, so he goes to class and sits down shyly in the corner.
After twenty minutes of class, the teacher wanted everyone to stand up and introduce themselves.
When it was Riker's turn he stood up shyly and introduced himself. He didn't say much besides his name and age. He didn't even look up at his classmates, he just kept his head down. Everyone looked at him awkwardly, and then he just sat back down.
"Alright class, you need to bring the supplies that I have written on the board. You will need them all school year, but as for today I don't have any work for you." The teacher said.
"Why does it feel weird when I stare at him?" Riker asked himself as he put his head back down.
Some time passed, and then the bell rung meaning it was time for lunch. The teacher guided the students to the cafeteria, and there everyone was. Students were in line, talking with their friends, or just sitting around.
What Riker noticed is that everyone seemed to be in groups. You had the nerds, the jocks, the popular girls, the weirdos, and so on. Riker didn't feel like he matched any of those categories, so he just sat at a empty table by his self.
After five minutes of being alone at the table, some wolf came by and sat across from him. Since Riker needed to work on his social skills, and he wanted to make friends, Riker was the first to speak.
"Hey.." Riker said in a shy tone.
"Hey there.." she said, responding back to him.
"What's your name?" Riker asked, curiously.
"Sarah, what's yours?" she said.
"Riker..."
The two students start asking each other more and more questions. They start to slowly open up to one another, and they got along pretty well. Then the bell rung again, meaning they had to go their separate ways.
"I hope we get to talk again soon." Riker said as he hugger her.
"Me too." she said, as she slowly wrapped her arms around him.
Riker's P.O.V:
I couldn't stop thinking about the new guy. He just seemed different from the others. Why do I care so much? I know he wouldn't love a ugly, weirdo, and weak person like me.I grab the knife from under my pillow and place it next to my arm, wanting all the pain and suffering to end. Since I know this won't solve my problems and I feel like nothing will, I throw the knife in anger.
"Maybe I need to take a walk." I said to myself. I grab my house key, put on my hoodie, and walk out the door.
Roy's P.O.V:
I got through the first day of school pretty easily. I met my friends from my old school and met some new ones. It was really fun to be honest.I get home and put my things in the corner of my room waiting on me tomorrow morning. "Well...at least it's quiet-" Roy said, but he got interrupted.
At that moment, I got tired of hearing my parents arguing everyday and decided to take a walk to clear my head. God knows how much I need a break from them. They would always argue about the smallest things, and I'm not sure why are they even together.
