「i want to hate you but i can't, so i hate you even more」

the couple had avoided each other for the following weeks, mostly jimin who didn't dare give the alpha even the slightest glance.

it ended up with namjoon not even coming home, jimin wants to believe that it doesn't bother him but on the inside, he only wants namjoon to come home to him, he would distract himself by getting out from time to time to do errands as well as managing his boutique just to pass time and busy himself with other things and surround himself with his friends who he has to show a facade to. 

he didn't bring up that he was having problems with namjoon as he didn't want others to worry about something he could fix.

there was a parent-teacher meeting happening at school and the tired omega was in and out of consciousness as it went on, having sleepless nights since at times he would wait for namjoon to come home even though he knows that he must have been sleeping at his studio but jimin kept his hopes up.

"jimin-ssi?" jimin's eyes open and he looked up at wonho, his cheeks go red when he realized he had fallen asleep throughout the meeting and every parent and their kids have left except for him and beomgyu who was busying himself with drawing "this is embarrassing.." jimin covered his face with his hands 

"hey, hey it's okay." wonho took jimin's hands away from his face and he noticed the dark circles under his eyes "jimin-ssi, have you been sleeping enough?" jimin opened his mouth to answer but beomgyu beat him to it "i hear mommy cry sometimes at night." he answers as he wrapped his hands around jimin's waist while looking up at him 

"what happened?" wonho asked, concern laced in his voice "it's- nothing wonho, nothing i can't fix." jimin smiles weakly before leaving the classroom. wonho contemplated for a bit before he ran for the pair "jimin-ssi!" jimin turned to the alpha 

"yes?" 

"i want to apologize for the other day, i should not have intruded and stayed at your home even after you insisted." jimin shook his head "you shouldn't apologize for that wonho, it was a pleasure to have you at our home, we should get going. i'll see you tomorrow."

"mommy, is daddy still gonna come home?" beomgyu asks, breaking the silence while they were watching a ghibli movie, they were huddled in jimin's bed, under a fluffy blanket with a bowl of popcorn between them

 "daddy does come home bub, you're just asleep when he does." jimin lied as a way to assure him "you don't have to lie, you always said i must not tell lies." jimin choked at his son's statement

"i don't know baby, but i know that daddy still loves us and he's just doing something, don't worry." he kisses the crown of his head before they got back to watching the movie.

the ending credits started to roll, beomgyu had fallen asleep halfway through but jimin kept watching as it was one of his favorite movies, he tucked him in as he took the dishes to their kitchen and that's when he hears the front door unlock but he didn't mind it, knowing it was most likely namjoon, he just carried on walking to the kitchen to wash and will go back upstairs to get some sleep as well.
