A Stupid Hot Head-Natsu Dragneel fanfiction

Don't Look

        "C'mon Lucy, let's go!" Natsu exclaimed in an excited matter. I sighed and slowly walked behind him. I wore my swimsuit underneath shorts and a tank top, but I had no intention of taking them off. 

        "I'm coming Natsu," I sighed. He then grabbed my arm and started to drag me. I quickened my pace, trying to keep up with him, so he doesn't detach me arm. Soon, we came across a large house with many cars parked in front of it. We entered and was greeted by loud chatter coming from the kitchen. Natsu rushed us into there and announced, "Hey everybody! We are here!"

        "Lu-chan!" Levy exclaimed and came to hug me.

        "Hey Levy!" I exclaimed back. 

       "So, who's here?" Natsu questioned happily.

        "Well there is me, Levy, Lucy, you, Juvia, Erza, Jellal, Wendy, Romeo, Gray, and a few others are on their way," Gajeel said while thinking. 

        Erza was no where to be seen, and neither was Jellal. Huh, I wonder where they are? I walked in Gajeel's backyard and was amazed. It was huge! There was a patio, grill and counter, fireplace, pool and.... A  BLACK PANTHER?! 

        "NATSU!" I screamed and backed away in fear. What was a black panther doing in Gajeel's back yard?! Is he crazy or something?! 

        "Yeah Lucy?! What's wrong?!" Natsu appeared outside with a worried look on his face. 

        "The-there is a p-p-panther!" I yelled in fear and pointed at it. Natsu looked at it and just started to laugh. I looked at him with horror filled eyes, why is he laughing?!

        "Lucy, that's just Pantherlily! Gajeel has had him since he was a cub!" Natsu said between fits of laughter. The giant cat walked up to me and lifted it's head, it almost seemed like it wanted me to...pet it. "Go ahead Luce, pet him."

        I slowly put my hand out until it reached the thick black fur on top of it's head. I slowly pet it, cautiously, still afraid it was going to attack He rubbed his head into my side as I got more comfortable and pet his back. He wasn't so bad after all. Then, a big roar was let out, causing me to jump back. 

        "Silly Lucy, that means he likes you!" a small voice chirped from behind me. I looked over to see Wendy standing in her bathing suit, holding her cat and a small floaty. 

        "Oh, hi Wendy!" I greeted and hugged her. She hugged me back then looked up at me.

        "Me and Carla are going in the pool, wanna come?" she asked.

        "Not today, I'm not really in the mood for swimming," I told her.

         "Oh, okay," she said with a disappointed tone and ran off with Carla into the pool. 

        "Why don't you want to go swimming?"  Natsu questioned, causing me to look down in shame. I hated lying to him, but he would think differently of me if he knew. He would think I'm weak or stupid or crazy...

        "I just don't want to okay?!" a sudden burst of anger welled inside of me. Before he could respond, I walked over to a lounge chair by the pool and lay on it. Why was I being rude to him? I am the one to blame for all of this, not him. He has nothing to do with this.

        "Lu-chan, what's wrong?" Levy asked, hovering over me. I sighed and shook my head.

        "I don't know Levy," I said quietly. She didn't say anything after that and just lay in the chair next to me, trying to tan. 

        I closed my eyes, trying too relax. I heard splashes and squeals of delightment as everyone was in the pool. More people had arrived, Cana, Elfman, Evergreen, Laxus, and Mirajane. Thank god they didn't bring Lisanna! Apparently she was prom shopping with her friends. I was upset that I was the only one not swimming. Everyone was splashing and having a good time in the pool while I had to sit out. But it was better than them knowing...
