(For NiallersGirl12, a missliterati user.)

Ever since I was little, I wished on the first star of the night as if it were going out of style.

I wanted everything that a little girl could possibly want.

A puppy, dolls, plenty of frilly dresses that made the girls jealous, that's all I could ever want, the twenties was a stylish time.

By the time I reached age twelve, I wanted more, I wanted to find that perfect guy.

Twelve seemed like a pretty young age to be wanting love, but it's every girls dream to have that perfect relationship with a guy, then to get married and have children, real life dolls at that point.

I could never find that perfect guy, no matter how much I wished, no matter how hard I tried to get to know the boys in my class, they weren't the guy I wanted.

The guy I was looking for had sea green eyes, I knew because I've seen him in my dreams, I just wasn't for sure exactly who he was and what he looked like.

Then one day, on my sixteenth birthday, this new guy started at our school.

He had sandy blond hair, a seemingly shy persona and a small smile.

What caught my attention though, was his sea green eyes.

He was that guy, I could tell because the butterflies in my stomach were fluttering like crazy.

He was required to sit beside me during class and I sat up straight acting like my full attention was on the teacher, but what I really did was kept watching the boy out of the corner of my eye as he sat slouched over his desk scribbling what I thought were words on a piece of paper.

At lunch, I was sitting alone, forced to stare at the lunch my mother had given me with a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Ever since my first class, I haven't been able to keep my mind off that boy since the moment I laid eyes on him..

My friends always thought I was crazy when I told them about dream guy, but I knew they were just jealous.

“Are you gonna eat that?”

I jumped, looking up startled at the voice that had scared me out of my thoughts.
