Lauren's POV

"Hi I'm Lauren Cimorelli. I'm soo sorry for being late." I said changing my gaze to the teacher but I knew Logan's eyes stayed on me.

He must be enjoying this.

You know that girl who just TRIED to kick your ass a few minutes ago is now about to get into trouble.

Yea, he feels pretty good I'd say.

"Ahh yes! You're new to our school! Welcome to Ridgeway Ms. Cimorelli. Here take a seat." Mr. Jones said gesturing to the empty seat guess next to who.

Oh crap no!

I wasn't not gonna sit there!

"T-there?" I asked as I swallowed hard and pointed to the seat.

Logan obviously had won already and I was losing this battle.

Wait, was this a battle?

I couldn't look at his face right now. His smile was probably going to rip his jaws apart.

"Yes Ms. Cimorelli. Is there a problem?" Mr. Jones asked.

"Umm no everything's fine." Umm hello do you not see the retard I'm about to sit next to?

As I was walking to the seat, Mr. Jones said, "Hey and maybe Logan can help you catch up. He's my best student you know."

I stopped.

Wait what?! Best student?!

How can someone with so much power and dominance over the school and not to mention the fact that he looked high all the time be your best student?

Was Mr. Jones delerious?

I made eye contact with Logan. He had a look of utter pride spread across his face.

His eyes looked into mine and I looked into his.

I broke our lil thingy we had there and finally managed to take my seat next to him.

Mr. Jones rambled on and on but all I could think of was the amazingly attractive yet somehow annoying guy next to me, until a husky voice shook me out of my thoughts.

"Number one rule of being a newbie- Never be late to any class. You'll just draw more attention to yourself."

I looked at him; his eyes were focused on Mr. Jones.

"I just couldn't find the class." I honestly told him.

He laughed silently still looking at Mr. Jones.

"Who are you?" I can't believed I mustered up the courage to ask that.

"What?"

"I mean, well you seemed like a total bully outside and I walk in here to realise that you're actually a good student. You know most bullies aren't really good at school work." I said blunty.

"How should you know?" Logan's eyes turned to me and I looked down.

"That's not answering my question." I said quite harshly but quietly careful not to disturb Mr. Jones.

He took a breath before answering me.

"I'm just different. Okay? I'm what everyone wants to be in high school. I'm smart, I have power, I'm every teacher's favourite, I'm good looking."

I scoffed at that last part causing him to smile.

"K I've answered your question now you answer mine." He said picking up his pencil and playing around with it.

"What question?"

"How do you know that bullies don't usually do good in school work?"

I tried my best to avoid this question.

"I just know." I said bluntly lowering my head.

"Yea but how?" He asked looking somewhat concerned.

"Mr. Henderson and Ms. Cimorelli are you carrying on your own class back there?" I jumped and Logan saw causing him to laugh. Mr. Jones had caught us talking. Big oops.

"N-no sir." I stuttered.

"Then eyes on me and lips shut please." He demanded.

I took a glimpse out from the corner of my eye and saw one of the guys who was apparently Logan's friend give Logan a look like 'What the hell?'

I would ask the same question considering you just pinned me up against a bunch of lockers and now you were talking to me.

But I just didn't bother.

Class went on normally for the rest of the time.

Thank God.

The bell rang and Mr. Jones was repeating the homework assignment for next class.

As I was getting up to go to my next class, Mr. Jones stopped me and gestured to one of the three boys who were apparently Logan's 'crew'

"Carlos, during the lunch period can you please show Lauren around the school and you know help her get a jist of everything?"

I looked at the black-haired Spanish looking boy as he nodded in agreement.

"Umm why does Carlos have to do it?" Logan suddenly blurted out.

What the hell?

"Why do you care?" Brown-haired guy with brown eyes said. He was the tallest of them all and the most good - looking in my opinion.

"I don't. I was just trying to be nice." Logan said.

Mr. Jones and I just stood there in complete silence.

"I'm trying to be nice too." Carlos said.

Carlos and Logan obviously had some confusion between them.

"Pick Cimorelli. " Logan said turning to me.

"What?" I was beyond confused.

" Which one of us do you want to give you a tour of the school?" Logan said rather harshly.

I stood there for a few seconds in silence before answering.

"Maybe I'll just choose someone who isn't in this room right now. Someone who wouldn't spend 10 minutes fighting for something as small as this." They could see I was mad. Could you really blame me?

"Someone like who?" Logan said walking towards me.

"Uhhhh....erm someone like my cousin..."

"U mean Blondie's your cousin?"

"Blondie?"

"I mean...ummm...what's her name umm Becky."

"Yeah Becky's my cousin."

"Ok....but lemme tell you, you'll regret not choosing me." He turned and walked out.

I swallowed hard and looked down at my hands as they began sweating like crazy.

Things were not going as planned today.
