New Girl

Chapter 4

Carlos' POV

Lauren took my hand and pulled me to the entrance where I would start showing her around.

She looked so happy like she had this perfect life and her laugh made me smile uncontrollably.

I was scared being seen around with her.

I didn't know what Logan would say.

He's never acted like this about anyone before especially someone new...he could care less about them.

But with Lauren I don't know if he's seeing what I see in her.

Logan and I never argued before especially about the smallest things.

So why was he acting this crazy now?

After showing Lauren around we sat out at the back of the school on the steps.

During the tour she was so attentive and she seemed amaze by what I was telling her.

Sometimes she would talk to herself to help remember where certain classrooms were.

At this point I caught myself staring at her and she apparently saw me too.

"What?" She asked.

"Nothing...I just....."

"You just what?" She furrowed her eyebrows which made her look ten times cuter.

"Nothing, it isn't important..." I lied.

She turned her head and looked forward watching the world go by.

Her black hair looked brown in the sunlight and I tried my best not to stare.

The bell rang signalling the start of the afternoon period.

She got up from the steps and turned to look at me.

"You coming?" She asked.

"Umm yea."

When walked back into the school standing in front of me was a middle height guy with black eyes and an angry look on his face.

"Logan." I swallowed hard.

"What the hell are you doing Carlos?" Logan asked eyes digging deep into my soul.

"Nothing. I was just showing Lauren around."

"She said she wanted her cousin to do it."

"I-I couldn't find Becky and the next thing I knew I saw Carlos so I just asked him to you know show me around....." Lauren intervened.

"Ok well I don't care." Logan replied in a gruff voice while walking off to his next class.

"Ok what the fuck was that about?" Lauren asked once Logan was gone.

"I wanna fucking know myself...." I said walking off rather pissed.

After Logan stormed off Lauren said she was going to her next class.

She thanked me for showing her around.

I was curious to know what shit Logan was up to so I followed him.

After getting a view of him I called out to him.

"Logan!" I called.

He turned around.

"What do you want Pena?!" He yelled.

"I want to know what you want with that girl? Why everywhere she goes I always find you there? What is so special about her? Why did you want so badly to show her around?!"

"There's nothing special about her but there's obviously something in your eyes!"

"What do you mean?!"

"You know what I mean!"

"No I don't!"

"Then let me make it clearer for you....everywhere I see her you're always there, you were very interested in showing her around and you stood up for her the first time we saw her!"

He walked off after making his point.......he left me there shocked for a few seconds.

I then headed to my next class rather slowly because I was late anyway.
