I pulled away after five seconds. That definitely wasn't a smart move, considering Declan was watching and would know. There was no way that I would go around kissing Griffin every time he felt like he needed to make someone sure that we were together.
"What the hell, Carson?" Griffin whispered.
"I thought you said you were going to show me a 'real kiss'?" Declan asked, eyebrows raised. "I guess not. Maybe you two are the ones who need to see a real kiss." Then, Declan turned to the redhead and kissed her. I'm pretty sure I saw tongue. No way would I ever kiss someone like that in public.
The basketball players then started whooping like idiots. They, of course, shut up when Griffin told them to. I'm sure he didn't like being upstaged by anyone, which is exactly why he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the cafeteria. Yup, I knew this was a bad idea.
As soon as we reached my locker, Griffin started getting on my case, saying why did I pull away and did I want to just end the whole "relationship". I thought he overreacted, but maybe that's just me.
"Sorry if I don't like being kissed like that!" I said, throwing my hands in the air.
"Well you better get used to it because that's how real couples kiss." He glowered at me.
"Not all 'real couples' kiss like that."
"How would you know? You've never been in a real relationship." He remarked.
"You'll follow my rules, or we're done with this little game." I spat at him.
"Darling, I made this game. You follow my rules or you're done." He threatened.
"Oh yeah? What's the worst you could do, mister player?" I challenged.
"You don't want to know what's my worst." He said, eyes dark. "Now, c'mon. We have to act like nothing happened."
Griffin snaked his arm around my waist and we walked back into the cafeteria, back to the table, and back to the fact that we would have to be a couple.
Again, all eyes were on us. Declan cocked an eyebrow at us, daring us to kiss again. He knew that I'd be against it and he knew that Griffin would want to. We were complete opposites. This "relationship" would be torture. Complete and absolute torture.
But, I obeyed Griffin's wishes. I honestly didn't want to find out what his worst was.
So, when Griffin grabbed my face between his hands and placed his lips on mine, I obliged and kissed him back, making sure this wasn't just a plain average kiss.
And this time, when I pulled away, I was breathless and not just because of the long kiss. Griffin was a good kisser. And I like the kiss. I wanted him to kiss me again. There's something wrong with me. Never once, in my darkest of dreams and nightmares, have I thought that I'd want to kiss Griffin McMahon. Even now, I wasn't sure why I would want to.
"Was that better, Tiller?" Griffin smirked at the look on Declan's face; it was priceless. Declan looked shocked and pained all at the same time. Now, just maybe he'd understand how I felt.
"Okay, so you two kissed. Big deal. Anyone could kiss like that." Declan said through clenched teeth. He probably only had the tiniest of doubts that we weren't a couple.
The bell then rang and everyone left the cafeteria. Griffin's arm had automatically went around my waist and we headed to my locker first, then to his. Now it was time for homeroom. Boy, would this be fun.

"Did you guys just, like, connect at the party?" Annie, one of my new "friends", asked as Griffin and I sat down at a table.
