I woke up from the sound of one of the flight attendents on the intercom, "Ladies and gentlemen, we have started our descent/in preparation for landing, please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Make sure your seat belt is securely fastened and all carry-on luggage is stowed underneath the seat in front of you or in the overhead bins. Please turn off all electronic devices until we are safely parked at the gate. We will arrive on schedule local Honolulu time, 4:34pm. The temperature is reported to be 75 degrees F with a small chance of light rain".

I move my chair up to the upright position and grabbed a to-go's moist facil towlets from my bag. As I wiped my face, slighlty refreshing my self, I couldn't help but get more and more excited with thought of finally being in Hawaii. It felt like a dream, but this dream was real. I opened my window and glanced out. The waters and small islands started to become more and more visible. The view had me mesmerized and I was left in awe. I noticed that Micaela was still asleep, so I gently woke her up because I did not want her to miss this view.

"Micaela, wake up. Look at this view. We're going to land soon." I said lightly tapping her on her shoulder.

"Wow, that's so beautiful" Micaela said as she slowly move her head towards the window. "Can't believe we can indulge all this beauty from now on" she said as she starred out the window.

"Me too. I Can't believe it either" I said smiling so big that it shows all my excitement.

The plane finally landed and Micaela and I headed straight to the baggage claim as we got off the plane. It didn't take that long to find our luggages and once we got them all, I pulled my phone out to see if I have gotten any messages or missed calls from my mom's old friend that lived here and offered to drop us off at our school dorm. There in fact, was a message from my mom's friend, Carrie. It read,

Carrie: "Hey Kristine, I'll be ten minutes late. There's traffic going to the airport. Sorry sweetie".

I replied

Me: "It's ok Aunt Carrie, We'll be waiting in terminal 3, Arrival Area :)"

"Hey Micaela, Aunt Carrie will be a few minutes late, so lets wait here for a while" I say as we made our way to the area I told Aunt Carrie where we'll be waiting.

"Sounds good" Micaela say as she follows. "Hey let's take some selfies, so we can start creating memories" she also adds jumping in excitement.

"oh good Idea" I say as I grabbed my phone out to take pictures. As I started to take some selfies of Micaela and I, a 6 foot 2, slightly tanned, dark brown hair, hazel eyed male bumped into us causing me to drop my phone. He was texting and walking at the same time not seeing where he was going.

"Oh God, I'm so so sorry. I should've watched where I was going" the handsome stranger said embarrassedly. He looked about our age, 18 or 19. His smile is what completed his angelic face though. He was wearing a white and black baseball tee that hugged his biceps and slightly mount his obvious six pack with some tan cargo shorts and black chucks.

I picked my phone up to make sure it wasn't cracked. I let out a breath of reflief to the fact that it wasn't cracked. "It's ok, I'm just glad my phone's not cracked" I say jokingly. He looked at me, starring at my eyes as I did the same. This guy was goodlooking dude. As he was about to break the silence, we all get startled by the sound of car honking. I looked up at the rode to see Aunt Carrie with a big smile.

"Oh hey, we gotta go. It was nice meeting you though" I say to him as Micaela and I rushed into the car.

As we drove off, I looked at the side mirror seeing the goodlooking guy walk away.

"Who was that?" Aunt Carrie said with a smirk.

"I don't know. He acciedntly bumped into us earlier" I said blushing.

"Wow, Kristen! He was so cute. You should've gotten his number or his name at least" Micaela whined with a smirk on her face.

"What? You didn't even get the kid's name?!" Aunt Carrie said dissapointed.

"He's just some guy. Besides, boys and relationship are the last things on my mind right now. They're not in my agenda this year" I say firmly as I looked at the window trying to not let their teasing get to me.

"Well anyways, Welcome to Hawaii ladies" Aunt Carrie said, trying to ease the awkward conversation.

"Thank you, We're happy to be here. Everything here is so beautiful" Micaela replied.

As we got closer and closer to our school, I couldn't help but get my eyes lost in the view of the ocean. I just wanted to ride the waves. It was calling me. I knew that I needed to get in the water right away.

"So, we're here ladies. You girls have my number, just text or call me if you you need anything" Aunt Carrie said as we arrived to our dorms.

Micaela and I headed to our rooms. And as we got there, we slowly opened the door and saw the room and the view. We both paused and looked at each other then jumped and screamed from excitement. This was now the start. The start of the life I've been planning for.
