Chapter Six | Annoying Pack & Vampires
"Emmie, imprinted on the ancient cold one who wears a cape." Embry said as soon as we arrived to La Push, we were greeted by the elders and the imprints.
"What?!" Billy exclaimed.
"That's funny because Emmie had the same reaction." Jared said.
"Emmie, How could you?" Old Quil asked.
"You act like I can control it." I answered.
"Old Quil, calm down." Billy said.
"The worse thing is he refuses to leave her." Sam said.
"What?!" Billy exclaimed.

"Hey, Maggie, before you leave, I need you to do something for me." I said.
"Do what?" Maggie asked.
"A lie detector test." I answered as I pulled out my list of questions to ask Marcus.
"A lie detector test." Maggie said.
"Yup, so sit next to me. Okay, Marcus are you ready?" I asked.
"I'll do whatever you want." Marcus answered.
"Okay, first question. What are your intentions with me?" I asked.
"I plan to spend the rest of my life with you and making you happy. I just want you to accept me as your mate so I can erase all the pain we both have suffered." Marcus answered. I looked at Maggie.
"He's telling the truth." Maggie said.
"That sucks." Luca said.
"Okay, second question. What do you think about Luca?" I asked.
"Why is there a question about me?" Luca asked.
"You're my first priority." I answered.
"Luca seems to be a great boy. I cannot say much because I do not know him well enough but if he is your first priority then he is my first priority too." Marcus answered.
"He's telling the truth." Maggie said.
"Luca, a vampire wants to be your dad." Paul said as Luca tackles him to the ground.
"Shut up, Paul." Luca said putting him in a headlock.
"Hey, Luca's dad get your son off of me." Paul said, not knowing how proud it made Marcus feel being called a dad.
"Knock it off, Paul, Luca." I said, shaking my head.
"Next question." Maggie said.
"Okay, third question. Why have you remained with the Volturi?" I asked.
"Oh, He had Chelsea use her gift of relationship manipulation on me to keep me tied here. Of course, I knew. Our gifts were quite similar, and I would have to be a fool to not know. The line that tied me to Volterra was a dead give away." Marcus answered.
"He's telling the truth." Maggie said.
"So, you didn't want to kill us?" Emmett asked.
"I only came hoping for a fight that would end up with me being put out of my misery but instead I have found myself staring at my deceased wife reborn as a shapeshifter and a chance of being happy again." Marcus answered.
"He is very depressed and telling the truth." Maggie said.
