Mark was up pacing back and forth, his phone in clutch when he heard the dorm room door knob turn. He spun around, greeted by Jackson's face as he entered the room. It'd been hours since he left to show Jinyoung to the science building, Mark had expected him back soon, but apparently he took a detour.

Mark stormed toward the younger, arms folded across his chest. "Jackson, what the fuck?"

Jackson looked clueless. "What?"

"Where the hell have you been, it's late, I expected you back hours ago. You left to show Jinyoung to the science building, why didn't you at least text me and let me know you were staying out?" Mark usually didn't care about Jackson's whereabouts, but today he'd been expecting a call or text or something from the younger. He received absolutely nothing.

Jackson sighed, walking past Mark to drop himself down onto his bed. "One, you never even gave me your number no matter how many times I've asked for it, so that's all your fault. Two, I didn't think it was important? Besides, I showed Jinyoung the science building, then we hung out a bit."

"Hung out?" Mark repeated as if it were strange or illegal to do.

"Yeah, like normal people do?" Jackson replied, frowning at Mark before letting out another sigh. "Oh right, you don't know what 'hanging out' is because you never wanna come with me anywhere."

"Anytime we 'hang out' it turns into a 'date'." Mark mumbled, marching back to his own bed now that he could relax with Jackson back in the dorm.

"Well I can't help that I wanna kiss you all the time." Jackson retorted.

Mark rolled his eyes. "Dude shut up. Just let me know where you are so I don't worry sick about you."

"Aw you worried for me? Proof that you love~ me." Jackson teased, earning himself a sharp glare from the elder. "I walked him to the science building, then we walked a bit through campus to get him used to things, and then we ate some dinner. It was late by then, so I just dropped him at his room and walked back here."

"Dinner?" Mark asked. They literally just met, why did they have dinner? And he wasn't even invited. Not that he wanted to be invited, but with Jackson's huge crush on him and all, Mark was surprised that the younger didn't use the opportunity to go on a 'dinner date' or something.

"Yeah, we just went and got some fast food?" Jackson replied, his brows furrowing at Mark's constant questioning. "Is there a problem, Mark?"

"No, just... that's kinda weird to do when you've just met someone." Mark mumbled with a shrug.

"Oh no, that's not how it feels with him at all." Jackson stated, sighing again— except it sounded like one of those dreamy sighs in a romance movie— before continuing to speak. "I dunno, we just click. He makes me laugh, I make him laugh. We got a lot of things in common, we think the same. He's cute and I'm cute. He's like my soulmate or something, it feels like I've known him forever and we met just earlier today."

"That's... um... good I guess..." The elder mumbled. None of it added up. There's no way Jackson could've moved on to pursuing someone else that fast after years of chasing Mark— not that he would care— but still, it just didn't seem possible.

"But no one could top my sweetheart." Jackson added, a small smile resting on his face as his gaze settled on Mark.

"Me?" Mark pointed at himself like an insecure child. He didn't know why he felt the urge to clarify who exactly Jackson was referring to when saying 'sweetheart' but something inside of him craved to get that confirmation.

Jackson scoffed as if the question were ridiculous. "Of course you silly. Come give Jackie a goodnight kiss, I'm gonna pass out."

"Don't call yourself Jackie, I refuse to call you that either, and I definitely refuse to kiss you." Mark stated firmly, turning over in his bed to face the wall. "Goodnight Jackson."

Jackson's low chuckle filled the room just from Mark's well wish for him to have a good sleep. "Goodnight, my love."

"Shut up." Mark returned. Yet somewhere deep in his chest, he felt a little warm tingle that made his heart skip a beat. It kinda scared him, that feeling. He didn't like it. He had to suppress it and ignore it so he could sleep peacefully.

"It was worth a try." Jackson mumbled, obviously giving up for today until yet another day started for him to continue his pining for Mark who was set on refusing his every advance.
