And So It Began

In the beginning, there was thought. Thought, so primitive, that no being would be able to comprehend or even recognize it. It was the first thought. The first domino to fall, one upon the next, beginning an everlasting cascade of discovery. It was a meager beginning, but thought now existed, although it was not self-aware.

Thought did not know that there could or should be more. Thought did not know IF there could or should be more, but knowing or not knowing could not prevent the fact that now there was thought. With thought, came time. Thought cannot exist without time and time cannot exist without thought. Thought is a process and a process requires time and so the one is inextricably tied to the other.

Although thought was not aware to observe this passing of time, as thought grew time did pass. Trillions of years passed and thought continued to grow. Thought had no words and no surroundings and so, it was a very slow process. There was no need, there was  no desire. How could there be? These things did not exist. Even so, thought existed and time passed and thought continued to grow.
