Either way, this is the first chapter of this season and I hope you all enjoy it!

A large white ship loomed over the small port at Domino City Harbor. The reason?
Just two days ago, Maximillion Pegasus announced the biggest tournament to date, the Duelist Kingdom Tournament. The chance to become the King/Queen of Games was up for grabs. Using the game that Pegasus himself created, Duel Monsters.
Pegasus himself sent invitations all over the world. Notable names included current and former champions to winners of local, small-town tournaments. The chosen duelists were sent a package containing their invitation to the tournament in the form of a duel monsters card, a Dueling Glove, two Star Chips, and two cards.
These two cards represented the rewards that the first and second place winner would receive should they make it to the Tournament Finals.
The Glory of the King's Hand gave the winner Three Million Dollars in prize money!
The Glory of the King's Opposite Hand gave the winner the chance to challenge Pegasus himself!
Among the many duelists at the port was a young teenage girl with long magenta hair tied in a high ponytail, green eyes, and casual clothing.

(This is how I imagined Hanako to be like. At least in Season 1...)
She was standing in line, waiting for her turn to be checked onto the boat sailing for Duelist Kingdom. She left home with only a backpack full of the bare necessities and the clothes on her back.
As her turn was coming up, a commotion started a few people behind her. Turning around the magenta haired girl saw a tri-colored haired boy confronting two guards who have a blonde teenager in their grip. Thinking nothing of it, the girl turned to the guard who would check for Star Chips. By showing her Dueling Glove, the guard nodded and let her onto the ship.
The teen walked until she leaned against a wall that had a great view of the ocean on the deck.
Not long after sitting down, she noticed the tri-colored haired boy and the blonde teen leaning against the rail in front of her, both chatting while staring out into the ocean. So for the moment, the magenta haired girl shut her eyes for some light meditation, her backpack leaning against the wall next to her.
'Woo!' came a cooing voice beside her.
The girl opened her eyes and spotted a fluffy, brown furred creature with wings floating beside her.
