“Okay, okay… I said…” Brad cleared his throat and bent his body forward, to add on to the suspense. “Excuse me Miss, but there’s popcorn on your skirt.” He burst out laughing, slapping himself on his knee. All of us cracked up. Emma leaned onto me unconsciously, laughing out loud. The way she threw her head back and her eyes go all squinty. I don’t even know if her eyes were open or did she shut her eyes. I sobered up a little. I wasn’t so drunk earlier as well. It was clear that Emma hated the smell of alcohol. That means, I wouldn’t get to kiss her till my breath smell slightly better, at least. Emma’s laughing died down and she gasped for air before sighing.

We went swimming. It turned out; Emma didn’t know how to swim. Luckily for her, James’ swimming pool isn’t too deep but I still gave her a donut float just in case and can we talk about Emma in a swimsuit? That was the first time I saw her so bare. I was not sure if I liked it, I mean, the other guys were staring as well and I didn’t like that. She had on a simple black one piece swimsuit. It was covering her stomach at least but her legs were wow; long and shape-y.

“So did Connor tell you, Emma?” James asked. Emma nodded slightly. I knew what they were talking about even though I wasn’t paying attention before. I set my eyes on her. The smile on her face before was gone.

“This Friday right?” She asked. James nodded.

“Yeah…” He sighed.

“You guys have fun. You will do great.” She smiled but it didn’t touch her eyes. I let out a loud sigh to attract all their eyes. I wiped my hands on my jeans then stood up. Emma looked up at me weirdly.

“Emma’s tired.” I said, giving her a look so she wouldn’t say anything against my words. I just don’t want her to go through the talk where the boys would say how much fun tour is going to be. “Em, I’ll drive you home?” Emma frowned but shook her head.

“No, it’s okay. I know you’re tired too. I’ll just take a cab.” She answered softly. James let out a laugh and waved her off.

“Don’t be silly, you two. There are enough rooms here. Tristan and Brad will bunk together so Emma gets a room to herself.” James suggested. Immediately, Tristan spoke up.

“We won’t go to sleep.” And it was true. Put Brad and Tristan alone in the same room and all hell breaks loose. James showed them an annoyed look, I knew he was wishing they would just grow up. Tristan was the oldest but he acted like he was the baby of the band.

“I’ll share a room with Connor.” Emma offered. James stopped staring at the two boys and raised his eyebrows at her. Hell, Tristan’s and Brad’s eyebrows were both hidden under their hair. They were so far up. I thought I heard her wrongly.

“You sure?” James asked, looking indecisive. Emma nodded and glanced at me for assurance but I was taken aback as well.

“Yeah, it’s cool.” She answered softly, looking back at me with wary eyes. I seemed to come back to reality right after. I nodded and offered Emma my hand. She looked at it before taking it. I pulled her up from the couch.

“Okay, so goodnight.” I mumbled, Emma wishing them softly behind me. The boys chorused with the same word. We both escaped into the room I always took when I slept over. I finally let go of Emma’s hand and she walked in further, towards the bed. We were spending the night together and she went straight to the bed first? I know it wasn’t our first time but since our first moment, we hadn’t spent the night in a room together and it was different than before. There was sexual tension. Emma sat on the bed, crossing her long gazelle legs. She was in those shorts from earlier but the stockings long gone. I couldn’t stand being in a room with her looking like that. I quickly took out a T-shirt and sweatpants of mine for her to change into. Hoping that when she was fully clothed, I would be fully relaxed.
