"(Y/n). Wake up."

"Hmm?" You mumbled, half asleep.

"Wake up, the girls are about to start their show and you have to be there."

You opened your eyes to find Shisui standing next to the bed.

"Oh." You rubbed your eyes and crawled out of bed, standing and stretching. "How long was I asleep?"

"Only a few hours. And Izuna told me to tell you that you don't have to dress up, this is fine if you want." He motioned to your torn shirt and shorts you still wore.

Rancid memories.

You nodded and shooed him out the door. When he was gone you opened Madara's dresser and fished out a shirt with the Uchiha symbol on it, then put it on. It was a little big but that was okay.

You left the room and made your way through the crowd to the table Madara usually sat at. To your disappointment he wasn't there, but the others were. You sat between Sasuke and Indra and yawned, running your fingers through your (h/l) hair.

"Glad you could make it (y/n). You want a drink or something?" Indra asked, taking a sip of his own.

"Eh, a water would be nice. And something to eat actually." You had your elbow propped up on the table and rested your chin on your hand.

"Ladies, gentlemen, could I get your attention?" Madara spoke from the stage, a microphone headset on his head. "Before the show starts i'd just like to.. well.. (y/n). Please come up here." He asked, his eyes on yours. Everyone turned to look at you, even the drunk business men.

An embarassed blush flooded your cheeks and you were frozen, but Indra nudged you enough to get you going again. You made your way to the stage and stood in front of him. A little smile appeared on his lips.

Then he knelt before you and you knew what was happening.

He reached into his suit pocket and pulled out a small black box. You covered your face, your legs felt like jelly but you managed to stay on your feet. He opened the box and you peeped at him from between your fingers. A beautiful ring, it was small but that was okay, you preferred rings that weren't bulky. A beautiful diamond that glittered pleasantly under the lights. It must've cost a fortune. Two small rubies were studded on either side of the diamond and it reminded you of the Uchiha's symbol that you currently wore on your back.

You found beauty in its simplicity.

"(Y/n).. would you make me the happiest man in the world, and marry me?" For the first time he seemed to show actual emotion.

You pretended to think about it. Then you nodded, tears welling in your eyes the crowd started to cheer and he stood. His hand outstretched, you set yours in his and he slid the ring on. It fit perfectly. His hands cupped your cheeks and for the first time he kissed you.
