To say Dick screwed up would be an understatement. And he knew that. You had been hurt during battle and while he was patching you up he constantly told you how reckless you were and everything you did wrong. He didn't say it to hurt you. He say it because he's in love with you -and thanks to Bruce doesn't exactly know how to show it-. But because of it once he was done patching you up you ran out in tears, feeling like a complete fool.
Ever since Dicks been trying to think of a way to apologize but nothing he could think of was right. Rachel knew what he really wanted to tell. He wanted to tell you that he loved you but he was scared he'd lose you if he did.
