"Why not do a horror?"

Challenge accepted.

My name is Celia Vargas. I live in a not to a bad neighborhood. It's been like this since  I was a child. When I grew up, I lived near the woods and my parents always allowed me to go and play by the woods, never in it.

When I turned 10 and my friends came over, we all played hide and seek in my yard. I was the seeker and my friends hid.

"1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9 *BANG*"

A gunshot went off and I turned around. All I saw was the woods. Behind me. Was just nothing but that.

My friends were nowhere in sight. I don't see that man and the gun, all I saw was that damn woods.

"Kill me all ready for the love of God. KILL ME!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

Silence filled the air. No sound of birds crickets, my friends playing, just silence.

I felt insane, but I had to go find my friends. I marched to the edge of the woods and stared at the void in which ensues. It looks like hell. I must find them.

One step... two steps... three steps... I feel chills all over my body. My legs tremble, and my heart skyrockets. I'm going to die here. I know I am.

After walking past three trees. I heard whispers coming from the right of me. "That must be them," I trembled.

I walked towards the sounds.

"Celia. Over here," The voices start to grow. "Over here."

I ran towards the sound without even saying anything, thinking about anything, not caring for anything. All I wanted was to see my friends.

When I was out, I saw just one of my friends. Matt. He was wearing all the all-white clothes he wore today.

"Hey, Matt. Glad I found you. Have you seen anyone else? I swear there was more than one voice."

Matt just shrugged and held my hand and guided me out of the woods.

"It's getting late. I'll call 911 tonight to see if a team of people can go and investigate our friends and gunshot."

Matt shrugged and walked out the gate and got my parents attention.

"Where are you going, Honey?" My mom said as we were walking down the pathway.

"I'm going to drop my friend off home. It won't take long," I said while looking for a way out of the gate.

My mom looked confused and shrugged it off. She was wondering what was happeing, but I didn;t mind.

Matt was still holding my hand towards his house. I was kinda skeptial walking alone in the dark, but his house wans't that far.

Suddenly...

Matt stopped in his tracks underneath a broken lamp. He turned around with his head looking down.

"Matt. You're scaring me." I said as I started to back off.

His hand clenched me so hard, too hard for a kid.

"Be... free..." Matt said softly.

"What?" I said as I started to push him away. Not a single budge.

"Be... free... Be free.... You're free." His voice started to raise. His face was intact but his eyes were gone. He had nothing. The vessel looked empty, as if something ate him from the insdie.

"Matt! Let me go! This isn't fun!"

Was was oming out of his eyes, was undescribable. As if all of my fears were all that monster was. It approched slowly and was on my arm. I spotted a stick and bashed it aginst the thing.

It fell and Matt let go. His body fell to the floor, but not how humans fall. It was like a deflated ball.

I ran for my house and I saw the thing was behind me.

I got as far as I can and saw light, but it felt like I wasn't moving.

I took a break and saw that thing wasn't following. I sat down for a deep breath.

*Crickle...* Crackle* The thing...

...was dangling right on the branch above me.

one of it's tentacle, tail, whatever was swinging towards my eye, but I moved left to avoid the hit and I ran.

I called my mom to open the door and she heard my distress. Once I entered, my mom slammed the door and stopped the thing from coming into the house.

I tried my best to exclaim to my mom that this was an emergancy, but she didn't think of it like that.

"It's outside. Don't open that door."

My mom looked at me confused and checked the front window and saw nothing infront of our walkway. It wasn't on the walkway.

My mom wasn't able to see it, but it's right infront of her... on the window. I ran upstairs and closed my window.

I fell a sleep crying.

By the morning. It was musky. I looked outside the window and saw all of my friends standing there. They all had the white clothing. I bare not to move from the room.

"This is y life now. Home sweet home. "
