"Are you sure about this?" You asked hesitantly, as your friend, Sowon, pulled you inside the nightclub.
"C'mon Y/n, It'll be fun!" She gave you a reassuring smile as the both of you walked in, hearing the loud music becoming less faint.
It was your last week of summer break before entering University and Sowon sought this as an opportunity to get you out of the house.
You were the typical anti-social girl with good grades and a rather peculiar style, but it was the way you wanted to be–simple.
As the both of you finally enter the room full of dancing and people who were rather...sweaty, you felt Sowon's grasp loosen.
"Yah! Where are you going?! Don't leave me here by myself!"
"Y/n, I'll be right back! I'll just get us some drinks!"
"Now what am I suppose to do?..." you looked around as everyone was having the time of their lives while you stood there awkwardly contemplating on what to do.
You decide to text Sowon that you'll be at the lounge area, waiting and after a few moments, you see her holding two drinks.
"Y/n, there you are! Here's your drink!"
"What is this?"
"Just drink it!"
"What? No! What if they drugged it or something?!"
Sowon rolled her eyes.
"It's a margarita, okay? There's 2 shots of silver tequila, 1 shot of Cointreau, and a slice of lemon with salt on the rim. There, happy?"
"Sowon, you know I don't drink, right?"
"Y/n, This is our last week before we start really becoming adults. Just be careless for once! Even just for tonight!"
"Fine!" You took the glass from her hand and chugged the drink like it was kool-aid.
"Wahh! Y/n, that was probably the coolest thing I've seen you do." Her jaw was left wide open.
It wasn't long until you felt the alcohol kicking in. Sowon left to get more drinks while you stood up, suddenly having the urge to dance. As you walked from the lounge to the dance floor, you bumped into a random dude. He was rather...handsome. His expression, however, looked so cold, yet his eyes differed. They look almost like they were...sad.
"Sorryyyy." You spoke in a drunken tone.
He looked at you then continued walking as if he didn't hear a word you said.
Somehow, his coldness peaked your curiosity and no matter how hard you stopped yourself from following him, your mind just led you to believe that if you did, all those questions you had will be answered by doing so.
You trailed behind him, which was something you would never ever EVER do when you were sober, but just like what Sowon said; "be careless for once" so here you are, doing exactly that.
Shortly, he reached the lounge area and sat all alone, drowning himself in alcohol.
"YaAaAh! You know that's not good for you." You sat beside him, letting all the alcohol do the talking. He looked at you in a cold manner once again as he spoke.
"Leave."
"'Leave?' But I just got here!"
He stood up and was about to walk out when all of a sudden, you grabbed his wrist.
"You don't need hide it. I can see right through you." You looked up at him.
He stopped, feeling paralyzed by what you said.
"What are you talking about?" He looked back at you.
"I'll tell you. But first sit down." You let go of his wrist.
He did as you said.
"You know, for someone as cold as you, you're pretty obedient." You smiled.
"You know, for someone as annoying as you, you're pretty-"
"Cute?" You cut him off.
"Annoying."
"Yah! That doesn't even make sense!" You
scratched your head.He couldn't help but smile to himself.
"Woah! Did I just make you smile?" You pointed at the apparent dimples on his face.
"Y-You wish." He cleared his throat.
"So...why are you here?" You asked, starting to feel your eyes get heavier.
"Why should I tell a stranger like you?"
"Because...no...judgement."
He was silent for a few moments and you noticed his expression changed into a mix of anger and...sadness.
"...my father...today's his funeral."
"I-I'm so sorry..."
He clenched his jaw, as you saw him suppressing his tears.
"I hate him...no. I despise him." He spoke even colder than before.
"Why?"
"Because all he thought of was himself. Not once did I feel like I had a father a-and call me a bad guy if you want, but...I'm glad he's dead. That's where he should be."
You shook your head slowly.
"You're lying. You aren't glad at all...you know, you can be angry at someone, but still love them..."
He looked at you and it felt like everything just stopped. His gaze...it was different from before.
"How are you so sure?" His voice faded.
"Just like I said, 'I can see right through you'"
Then all of a sudden he came closer to you, and placed his lips onto yours, gently, however, after a few moments, he noticed you weren't kissing back. You had fallen asleep.
It was the next day, and you woke up with the sun beaming on your face, adding to the headache you had.
"Ah-" You winced in pain, feeling as if someone was hammering on your head. You rubbed your temples, removing the white sheets that covered you. After a while, you looked around, and noticed you were at a hotel.
"Wow. This place is nice."
Then your eyes widened."Wait- why am I here?! what the hell happened last night?!..."
