Shi Yong's POV--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damn, I'm so happy that my shift is over early. I get to relax for the time being. Exams are coming up and I kind of don't want to study right now. If you didn't know, I procrastinate a lot when I come to school work. Sure I have really good grades in school but it doesn't mean I don't procrastinate.
Oh right! I almost forgot it's Lunar Eclipse Day. So that means I can go to the Lantern Festival. I can clear my head for the time being if I to the festival today. Plus I can get a good view of the Lunar Eclipse!
I went to the changing room and took off my uniform. I put on a white t-shirt with black ripped skinny jeans and exited the coffee shop. As I unlocked my bike that's chained to the rack in front of the shop, I saw Miya, my co-worker that works after my shift.
"Hey Miya, have fun being alone in the coffee shop," I chuckled.
"Shut it Shi Yong, it's not you have a girlfriend," she snickered.
I blushed, "Y-Y-Y-ou-"
"Nah I'm joking, have fun at the Lantern Festival," she waved.
"Same goes to you," I waved back.
Yes, I don't have a girlfriend. I'm a loner forever. I mean I do have a couple of friends back in the university. But how can someone like me? I'm a shy introvert human being unless I'm with my friends. I get hella loud and I become even weirder. I don't have any crushes either, I focus more on my education then relationships. That's why I'll forever be a loner... But hey, I'm okay with that.
I hopped on the bike and head back to the University. Usually, it takes me about fifteen to eighteen minutes from my University to the coffee shop.
I have an uneasy feeling that something bad is going to happen today. I'm probably just being paranoid because it's Lunar Eclipse Day. So I shooked the uneasy feeling and turned around the corner of a building.
I continued down the road reaching the top of the hill. As I let my bike rush down the hill, I tried to stop the bike with the breaks. But for some GOD DAMN reason, my breaks stopped WORKING.
"SHIT WHAT THE HELL! IT WAS JUST FINE A MOMENT AGO!"
I kept pressing the breaks but nothing happened, I couldn't stop the god damn breaks. I came rushing down the hill and hit the railings on the side of the hill.
My body plunged towards the clouds and dropped downwards into the sea.
I had no experience in swimming which made my situation worsen.
I felt the currents pulling me deeper into the sea. I couldn't even move my body. It felt like someone pinning me down. It felt like my body became paralyzed. The stress and the anxiety began to pile up. The more I try to move, the deeper I sank.
This is it... I knew there was something odd about today but I chose to ignore it. I can't do anything to get out of the water. I don't want my life to end here. I haven't experienced many things in life yet. I don't want my time to end like this...
Please don't let me die...Please give me one more chance to live again...
I saw a flashing image of my parents smiling and walking slowly away from me. As they walk away slowly, my vision became a blur.
"Mom...Dad... Please don't go... Please don't leave me alone... Come back..."
I closed my eyes as my tears became mixed with the salty water as I sank deeper into the sea.
Somebody, please save me...
Anyone...
Please save me...
