/Shi Yong's POV/--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I suddenly hear a voice talking to me. This must be God telling me it's time to move on and reincarnate.
"My child, you are destined to come to this world and you must change something from the past in order to return to your original time, the voice said.
It continued to speak, "You have no choice but to accept your fate. I will be your guide. When you open your eyes, you will arrive in the Zhou dynasty..."
"W-w-wait! S-s-so I'm not dead? T-T-This does not make any sense," I stammered.
How am I still alive? If I remember correctly, I drowned because I fell into the sea.
"You are the chosen one, my child. That is why you are alive. I must go now...Take care, my child," the voice replied.
My anxiety began to pick up again, "Wait! I have so many questions! Don't leave now. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do. At least inform me what I'm supposed to do?"
The voice disappeared after her last sentence.
This feels like a dream. This must be a dream right? Is it possible that I'm still alive? No way, I literally drowned. There's no way I'm alive. God must be playing with me. Maybe I'm just hearing things before death. Yeah... That makes sense. Maybe this is what happens when you die. But why am I suddenly really tired? If I sleep, maybe that's when I reincarnate.
I slowly shut my eyes and drifted to a deep slumber.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I began to hear strange and loud noises filling up ears, "Damn, what the hell with these noises?"
I really want it to stop. I hate loud noises, they give me huge headaches. The loud noises didn't stop. It grew louder and louder every second. I hear people voices chattering about and animals making sounds.
I groaned, "UGH, why is it so loud?"
I feel a hard surface underneath my body. I flipped my body so that my stomach is on top of the hard surface I was on and covered my ears with both of my hands.
I groaned even more, "I can't take this anymore!"
My eyes flutter open and I sat up facing the wall. My vision became clearer and I realized I'm alive.
I look at my hands and touched my body, "I'm still alive."
Did God give me another chance to live again? I closed my eyes and thank the Gods, for giving me another chance to live again.
I turned around to observe my surroundings and started freaking out, "Wait a minute. WHERE THE HELL AM I AND WHY DOES THIS PLACE LOOK HELLA WEIRD???"
I grabbed the sheets off my body. I felt something wrapped around my head and touched it. Sudden shock filled my head giving me headaches.
"God it hurts so much, ughhhh"
I looked down and saw the top of my body bandaged up. My clothes were also changed into a long, pale blue sleeve shirt and pale blue pants.
I tugged my shirt, "What's with these weird clothes. These clothes look like what Ancient Chinese people wear to sleep based on what the movies I watched recently when I had time back at the University."
I stood up and walked around the room. I picked up a jade-colored vase from a wooden table near the window and observed it.
"These objects look too real to even be props," I said to myself.
I place it back carefully on the wooden table and peeked out the window to observe my surroundings. Wow. I can't find a single camera anywhere and this place looks way too real. This must be a prank. But it feels too real to even be a prank.
I pinched myself to see if I'm alive or not, "Owwww, damn I am really alive."
I saw many people dressed in weird clothing. There were many mini-shops and restaurants in this place. This is such a weird set up, it seems to real to even be a setup.
My thoughts were interrupted by footsteps coming from downstairs. I rushed back my bed and pull the covers over my head. The footsteps came closer and closer. I can hear my heartbeat beat faster and faster as the steps came closer. I peered the covers down and saw a young and handsome man. I can't really see his face clearly since his face is turned to the right. He was dipping a cloth into a wooden bowl of water. I pulled the covers over my head as soon as he turn his head towards me.
"You don't have to pretend that you're asleep. I know that you're awake," he chuckled.
He took the cloth out of the wooden bowl and squeezed the water out, "I heard your yelling from downstairs so I came to check on you."
Wow...His voice sounds so modulated and somehow I love it. WAIT. Hold on Shi Yong, you aren't gay. What the hell are you even thinking? Snap out of it Shi Yong!
I pull the covers down to see his face. He has milky brown eyes with a nice jawline. His black hair was flowy and luxurious. His shoulders are quite broad. He wears a bright color hanfu which I think suits him very well. His face shows a genuine and kind manner. Oh god, stop staring Shi Yong! Get your act together idiot! I'm not gay! I'm not gay! I slapped my face lightly to wake myself up a bit.
He put the cloth down right next to the wooden bowl.
He removed both hands and place them on my lap, "Don't injure yourself, even more, you are already damaged enough."
He grabbed the towel next to the wooden bowl and dabbed it on my face. Why is he so kind to me? I don't even know him. Forget that, he doesn't even know me either. How did he even find my body in the first place? I should ask him who he is first before I ask for any more details.
I looked straight into his eyes and asked, "Who are you?"
He stopped dabbing my face and put the towel into the wooden bowl, "I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself. You must have many questions by the looks on your face, my apologies."
He turned around and looked at me, "Let me introduce myself. My name is......"
