/Shi Yong's POV/--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"My name is...Feng Yu," Feng Yu said.
I reached my hand for a handshake, "Nice to meet you Feng Yu. My name is Shi Yong."
he looked at me weirdly."What is that gesture? I never have seen a gesture like that before."
What the- He doesn't even know what a handshake is? Nevermind that, I should ask him what happened to me and ask where is this place so I can go home.
I took my hand and scratched my head awkwardly, "Uhhh nevermind that. Anyways, what happened to me? Why am I bandaged up?"
"I was taking a walk outside of the city to pick some herbs to make medicine. I took a break at a river and saw your body floating in the water. So I carried you and brought you here to tend your injuries. I'm not sure how you ended it up in the river in the first place. But I won't question it," Feng Yu explained.
Honestly, I don't even know how I got into the river in the first place. I thought I was drowning in the sea, how did I even end up in a river? That is so strange. I'll try to figure that out later. I need to know where I am in order to go back home.
"So uh, where am I," I asked.
"You are in the State of Zhou, City. You are not from here I assume. Based on your strange looks, you are not from here. Your clothes are quite peculiar and your hair-," Feng Yu said.
"My hair is short," I cut him off.
"Y-yes, I've never seen a man with such short hair in my entire life," he exclaimed."
Well, that's shocking to hear. Is this person playing with me? Is he saying these words from those script lines from Ancient Chinese movies I've watched before? He says he found me in a river and I'm brought to a strange-looking city seen in those Ancient Chinese movies. This looks way too real to even be a set-up. What if this is set-up in some sort of TV-show where I can't find the hidden cameras? I should be straight forward with this Feng Yu guy.
"Alright, drop the act dude. This is a set-up, I know it's a set-up. Take out the cameras and let me go home. I'm not participating with what you guys are doing," I deadpanned.
Feng Yu looked puzzled, "I apologize, sir. I don't quite understand what you mean? What set-up do you speak of? And what is a camera?"
"Are you serious? Are you playing with me? Dude, this is not funny," I said in frustration.
"Sir Shi Yong, I'm being serious. I don't understand what you are talking about. Maybe you hit your head hard on a rock causing you to say such queer things," he said with a serious look.
Shit, it really does look like he's saying the truth. But if he is telling the truth... Does that mean... I traveled back in time? But that does not even sound right. There's no way that's true. No one ever traveled back in time before. This sounds way messed up.
Feng Yu leaned closer to my face, "You seem to be processing a lot in your head."
This guy really needs to stop with his looks. This is cheating, why does he have a handsome face? Shi Yong wake u0, you ain't gay, your not gay!
I avoided contact with his eyes, "Uh... I was wondering if you know a way back to Beijing?"
"What is Beijing? I've never heard of that city or state," he looked at me in confusion.
Damn, did I really did travel back in time? This guy knows nothing about my time at all. I talked about cameras and Beijing and doesn't know a single thing about it. He's so clueless when I was talking about these things.
Speaking of time, that voice... When I was unconscious, a voice was talking to me during the time before I was transitioning to the past. They took me back to the Zhou Dynasty. That voice also said that I can't go back to the present time if I don't complete some sort of mission. They didn't even specifically tell me what I'm supposed to do yet. This is so stupid! They just dumped me here without a place to stay and expects me to complete the mission that I don't know about. Maybe I can ask this Feng Yu if I can stay with him for the time being.
"Feng Yu, can I ask you favor," I asked.
"Yes you can. If the favor is not towards my liking, then I will politely decline," he replied.
I answered, "Well, I wondering if you can let me stay at your place for the time being until I can figure a way to go back home,"
He smiled at me, "Of course you can."
I smiled in relief, "Thank you so much!"
"But in return, you will work for me. As a doctor in the capital city, I do require some assistance. I can't just make and sell medicine by myself. I need someone to help me with these errands. What great timing," he beamed in delight.
"W-what? I don't even know h-how t-to do t-these kind of things," I stuttered.
"I can teach you how to do these errands. In exchange, I can give you food and shelter for the time being, unless you want me to kick you out of my manor," he smirked.
"N-n-no it's fine, I'll accept your offer," I blushed.
He's so cheating with those looks. Ughhhhh. I'll definitely get him back for this.
He got up and picked up the bowl of water, "Good, that settles it! You will get working first thing tomorrow, got it?"
"W-w-what? O-okay then... Oh and also, you don't need to call me sir by the way. Just call me Shi Yong," I blushed.
"Alright Shi Yong, have a good rest before tomorrow," Feng Yu smiled.
He walked across the room and went downstairs with the wooden bowl in both of his hands.
I was very fortunate that he's willing to let me stay at his house until I find a way to go back home. Oh, I can't WAIT to start work tomorrow. Hear the sarcasm? Still, it's better than getting kicked out with no food or shelter.
I sighed, "This is my life, for now, I guess."
I pull the covers off of my body and walked over towards the window. The sun is already setting, time goes by fast. I wonder how my parents are doing. I hope my roommates aren't making a mess back at the dorm. I chuckled at the thought of them screwing around. I walked back to my bed and pulled the covers.
