Homecoming

December 31th 1993, New Year's Eve. A few months after the vampire twins and the hunt for Greenback Jane incident...Rock and Revy were hired by Hotel Moscow for a job in Japan...Rock's hometown where he was away from home for almost a year. As for Aaron...he take the chance to return to Venezuela...return to his family that I abandoned for a year. He is now standing in front of the door waiting for someone to come to the door to answer. Aaron was still feeling nervous about being here...knowing that he may be unwelcome. Although Garcia somewhat forgave Aaron for leave and Roberta knew Aaron made the right choice and there was no need for him to apologize to her...he still feel uncertain how Diego Lovelace would feel about him. Answering the door is Diego Jose San Fernando Lovelace, a late forties year old man with black short hair and a mustache and has green eyes and is wearing a pink short sleeve button down shirt, tan pants and brown shoes. When he saw Aaron, he was surprised as he thinks he's seeing a ghost.

"Señor. Lovelace. (Mr. Lovelace.)" Aaron greets in Spanish.

Aaron was still feeling a bit scared as if Diego was going to shout at him and tell him to go away knowing that he had abandoned the man who brought him to his home and took care of him. Instead of that, Diego walks up to Aaron and hugs him.

"Me alegro de que hayas vuelto, Aaron. (I'm glad that you're back, Aaron.)" Diego replied.

Aaron was completely surprised that he's receiving this nice welcome from Diego. Just like Roberta, Aaron received no hatred like Garcia when he saw him. Aaron then just hugs Diego back as he just glad that he is happy to see him again.

"I'm sorry that I've abandon this family."

"There's no need for you to apologize." Said Diego. "Roberta told me why you did what you did. What you did was to protect this family and we're thankful for that."

Aaron surprised slowly goes away as it turns into a smile. Diego really missed him and even welcomes Aaron back.

"Come...Roberta is at the garden. There is also someone who would love to meet you too."

In the garden, Roberta in her usual maid uniform is kneeling down in front of the flowers with a little girl who looks exactly like her but her eye color were brown similar to Aaron and is wearing a yellow dress.

"Eso es hermoso, ¿no? (That's beautiful isn't it?)" Said Roberta to the girl with a smile on her face.

As the child continues to playfully touch the flowers, Roberta feels a present as someone is watching her and next to her. Someone who is very familiar to her which she grew a smile on her face. She turns to the person and realized that it's Aaron who stands with a smile on his face. The two of them were glad to see each other again. Aaron then noticed someone small was hiding behind Roberta. Aaron knew who the girl is as this is his and Roberta's daughter...Rose.

"Hola. (Hi there.)" Aaron greeted.

Rose was still hiding behind her mother as she is shy to new people.

"Está bien, Rose ... este es tu papá. (It's okay, Rose...this is your papa.)"

The little girl was still a bit shy but then starts to get a good like at Aaron as she recognized him. She then moves away from her mother and walks to Aaron. As she got to him, the girl stands as she continues to stare at Aaron. Aaron then kneels down to his daughter with the same smile on his face. Aaron was having this feeling that the girl would not know who he is as he has not been with her since birth. Rose then walk closely to Aaron and have her arms out as she wants to be picked up. Aaron gives out a chuckle as he gently lifts up his daughter. Once he got Rose to his face, Rose started to play around with his face and starts laughing and giggling which made Aaron smile and laugh as well. Roberta and Diego Lovelace watched the two having fun with a smile on their faces. Roberta was even shedding tears of joy seeing Aaron finally home and with their daughter.
