That Night (Richie x Eddie)

Chapter 1

"Remember, Eddie, don't forget your fanny pack at Bill's house." Eddie heard his mom say from the living room.

"I won't, Mom." Eddie responded. He closed the front door and grabbed his bike. Bill's house wasn't too far from Eddie's, so he decided to just ride his bike there.

On the way, Eddie passed Richie's house. Richie was just leaving to go to Bill's as well, so Eddie stopped and waited for him.

"Hey, Richie!" Eddie called to Richie. Richie looked up from his bike to see Eddie at the edge of his driveway.

"Oh, hi, Eddie. You going to Bill's too?" Richie walked his bike down to the road. He waited for Eddie's response.

"Yeah, I'm assuming that you are too?" Eddie put the kickstand down on his bike, seeing this might be a little longer of a conversation than he wanted. We should probably just talk on the way. Eddie thought to himself.

"Um, we should get going to Bill's now." Richie gestured to Eddie to get on his bike. Damnit. He did, but he waited for Richie to do the same before he started down the road.

They were almost to Bill's house, when someone stopped them. It was Henry.

"Where are you lovebirds off to? The kissing bridge?" He laughed as they passed him slowly.

"Oh for fuck's sake. Can't we just go one day without you showing up?" Richie replied, glaring at Henry. Eddie looked over to Richie in surprise.

"Rich, what the hell? Just ignore him." Eddie slowed down to Richie's speed. He listened to Eddie, and they continued down the street to Bill's house. Where Bill was actually waiting by the door for them.

"Y-you guys m-made it." Bill walked down the stairs to where Richie and Eddie were standing. Looking up, Eddie could see that Ben and Beverly were upstairs by the window.

"Stanley's not here yet?" Eddie asked. Ben waved to him and Richie. He waved back.

"N-no, but he s-said he's c-coming s-soon." Bill said, while walking back up the stairs. Richie and Eddie followed him inside.

"My m-mom and dad a-aren't going t-to be here f-for the rest of the n-night." Bill told Richie and Eddie as he led them upstairs. Richie thought that there was a strange change in tone while Bill was talking, but he decided not to question it.

The three of them entered Bill's room, then Bill left again. Richie and Eddie assumed that he was going to wait for Stanley.
